AKA: crappy design for the encounter that requires mobility and awareness in an area that hinders both.
Pretty much, if i could actually see when i need to dodge and also see where the little ghosts were i think i would find the fight much easier. As it is i cant tell what im doing 90% of the time.
The problem is the poor visibility of her aoe combined with the obstruction of the orbs and the displacement of the camera by the dome.
Edit: Something else that bothers me is who decided to put a mechanic that requires you to stop moving into a fight that requires you dont stop?

As I recall, Anet stated not long after launch that they would not be doing ‘race’ changes. It was part the response to the questions about make over kits, name changes etc (as we didn’t have them yet, and people wanted them.) We were told makeover kits and name changes eventually, but never race changes.
A moderator said 1 month ago in a smilar topic that they have told the devs about players keep asking for this feature. (Too sad the search fuction is broken, i’d like to give you the link about it.)
Devs are listening to what the players want, so this might come in the future.
Personally I’d love to see this feature coming with possible new races.Personally, I don’t want to see this feature. It sort of takes thought right out of selecting your race if you can just up and change anytime you want to at a later date. I know people have been requesting it, and I’ve thrown my view in each time. The mods may have relayed the requests to the devs, but I am hoping they stick by their original decision and not give us this option. Players should have to think long and hard about the pros and cons regarding race, and accept the responsibilities of selecting one that they turned out to not like.
As for new playable races, Colin stated in the relatively recent Twitch interview (discussing LS) that those are in the pipeline, but he wasn’t giving us any spoilers as to which we would see ‘first.’
Problem is how did I know at launch that armor was going to look terrible for charr?
Actually I think they would prefer you buy a new char slot, and then make another one. You’re more inclined to purchase boosts at that point to speed up the process, which nets them more than just a simple race change alone. Standard business practice really.
I would do that but I’m the kind of person who doesn’t enjoy repeating things and after leveling two characters to 80 one with world completion leveling is quite boring. I also already have decent gear on my guardian several of the story mode dungeons on him. Honestly unless a race change of some sort comes along ill probably just grit my teeth and try to ignore how bad most armor looks on charr.
Will we ever get them? I personally have a level 80 charr guardian and would really like to change to human or norn. I wouldn’t mind having my personal story reset and I think that the cultural armor issue could be worked around by converting the armor to the race that your changing to. So what do you guys think? Should we get race changes?
It’s not a bug or a glitch. They wrote down a recipe that they didn’t think much about. And it doesn’t give a player an advantage over anyone else. The only advantage they get is more money to what…buy nice stuff? It’s not like they stole money from players directly. Again, you say ban, and I’m not disagreeing with you, but perma banning is totally not cool. I feel like everyone one should get a second chance, not just the people who had the first round of exploiting.
“An exploit, in video games, is the use of a bug or glitches, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc.”
I bolded the catch all for you because it looks like you missed it the first time you read it.
Yes, the advantage came from having more money and inflating the cost of mats for everyone else in the game. Check out the reddit links to gw spidy that demonstrate the effects this had on the mats used.
And those are only immediate effects of people discovering the recipe and buying the surplus to convert into more ecto or hope to resell at an inflated price. The effects of that extra gold then reach out further to buying rare items or materials to again manipulate the value or flip into precursors to ironfist that entire market like we seen after the godskull incident.
Botters and farmers cause market prices to crash. Exploiters cause market prices to inflate beyond the means of most players. And that is bad for everyone. Hence the extreme punishment. If you participate in an activity that affects players en masse and that can take weeks if not months to naturally recover from, then you don’t need to be playing with other people.
So according to your definition salvaging these pieces of jewelry was not an exploit? These people were not using any form of a bug or a glitch, but simply using a system that was already in place to make a profit off of a new item.
Edit: Also exploits don’t always cause the market to inflate. For example the karma exploit introduced large amounts of precursors into the market. Which would cause deflation not inflation.

Players have been warned so many times that “i dint know” dont work anymore! Finding an exploit and using it leads to ban in GW2. There seems to be no way to go around and I really like this policy. All other games i have played the devs usually give up and these habbits are left alive. Anet has dealt with this issue. Either u take action or u dont.
This wasn’t an exploit though. You can craft other items for less than the cost of an ecto and salvage them for ectos. Is this an exploit to?
Something I would really like to say is that through this whole incident Arena Net pretty much kept silent. They were asked numerous times whether or not this was an exploit and remained, for the most part, pled the fifth and what answers they did give were extremely vague, such as defining what they classify as an exploit.
I’m sorry but this simply is not an exploit. Saying that this is an exploit would imply that crafting any rare for less than the cost of an ecto and then salvaging it to get ectos would be exploiting, which its not. The Karma incident was actually an exploit, as the items were selling for lower than the intended price.
Ya, I believe I read everything he wrote. I’ve also read the TP beginner’s guide on the forum as well as watched this YouTube series. I understand the basics, but I simply do not see how people are making this much money this quickly without using manipulation.

How are you people making 20g+ per day on the market? I personally have tried flipping a variety of items from blue dyes to exotic runes to rare weapons and armor and from what I’ve found dyes tend to be unstable, rares move fairly slowly and so do the runes. So I’m curious about a few things. Firstly how much capital do I need to invest to get these kind of returns? Second, how do I identify what types of weapons, armor, etc….. move the fastest, I have found through trial and error that great swords move fairly quickly, so is this the only method or are there others? Lastly how do I tell if I have found a niche and when an item is simply not needed nor wanted by anyone.
any update on this?
The skill points defeating urrahn the hunter is currently bugged on Dragonbrand. The challange is active but the npc will not appear.
