Why do you not WvW?

I was really excited about WvW. Then I tried it. The concept is fun but there needs to be some changes made.

Here is a list of the items that bug me the most about WvW:

Repair costs – This is a Pvp mode. It is a given that you are going to die at some point. Why do I have to pay for repairs?

Sidekicking – Raising a level 2 player up to level 80 but not giving them the armor and traits to go with it is just mean. Why can’t it be like sPvP? That would even things out a little bit.

Running – Why is there only 1 way point in the whole map? Why? It takes so long to get back to the battle that it’s over. My group has moved on and now I am all alone and have to find them FAST or die.

Useless Siege weapons – They cost way to much to purchase and take a lot to built but they do very little damage. A siege weapon should be something the other side fears. They should want to stop you from building one. Instead they ignore it. It’s not worth the time or cost to build one. The players can just knock down the doors without siege weapons anyway in just a few minutes. The siege weapons the centaur use in PvE are more dangerous.

No siege weapon needed – The doors and walls of the keeps must be made of cardboard. It should take longer than 5 minutes for a small group to bust through a door using only their weapons but it doesn’t.

What is hitting me? – I can’t see what is hitting me till after I’m dead. Then they magically appear. All 10 of them. Really it took all of you to kill me? I must be so L33t.

I’m sure there is more but these are the main gripes. I don’t bother to WvW anymore. There’s no reason to. It costs to much and isn’t any fun unless you can run with a zerg. If your in a small group or alone you are meat. Tasty, tasty meat.

I love the Skritt. I would play one. They would have some fun Elite skills. They could be like the
Lobber – you get a box of gears you throw and knock your back. Also does damage and knocks them down.
Boomer – Throws bottles that explode in AOE that burns like napalm.

I love watching them run around. There tail wiggle so cute. There pink noses and ears. So cute. A Skritt Thief would be fun.

I would want there racial armor to be bits and pieces of junk or scraps of fabric.

I think they would be fun but the Tengu are amazing and I want to play one.

Why does everyone hate Trahearne?

I play a Sylvari Necro so meeting Trahearne was very exciting for me. My mentor. The one I should look up to. My hero worship faded.

First off he only used minions 2 times. Once on the wall to guard himself during the retaking of Claw Island and them again in the cave when he summoned 5 Flesh Golems. Whats up with that. He is using a Scepter and a Focus. Where your minions dude.

Next. Yes the Greatsword the Pale Tree gives him is awesome but he is a necromancer and necro’s can’t use Greatswords. What the hey? He does start to fight more after he gets the sword instead of standing there getting smacked in the face.

I actually liked the sound of his voice but the script was bad at times. He seemed depressed. His favorite line “This isn’t gona end well.” Thanks for the confidence Eeyore.

I am OK with him being the Leader. He can stand there and let me do all the work. That’s what leaders do. They also take all the credit for all the hard work there underlings do. It’s just the way things are.

He does show some affection to me sometimes. Telling me he is glad I am there. He is having a hard time being in charge of things. He is not a natural leader.

At times I like Trafern then he whines and I want to smack him. Then he is nice to me and I forgive him. It’s a love hate thing we have going.

I want Tybol back.
