While running around doing everyday normal gameplay in PVE content, I have a rather smooth gameplay experience. However, in larger events (and especially in WvW), where there’s lots of action and spells going off, I end up in a slide-show of the game having ~5 frame per second. I suspect however it’s more to it than just alot of action going on, since I should get back my usual framerate by looking away from the action. I still have low framerate for quite some time during combat.
Would it be possible to include a slider/option to the Graphics page, that lets players control the amount of particles in the spell effects? Less particles = Spells doesn’t look as nice, but they might also run more smoothly.
Attaching DxDiag for evaluation. Thanks.

None of my cores on my CPU are maxed at any time. I’ll go in game now with the CPU monitor up on my other screen to double check.
Also, here is my DxDiag.txt because I assume more data is better.
I’m gonna have to call “False” on this claim. I have my game running right now, and it’s using both my cores. Neither of which are maxxed out.
My system:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.0GHz)
6GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 (driver version 296.10)
Windows 7 64-bit
I run the game graphics at the “Recommended” auto-detected settings, which seem to run perfectly fine in normal questing/dynamic events etc. But when there’s alot of action going on (spell effects most notably), the framerate drops drastically. This is especially noticable in World vs World, which is virtually unplayable for me at current.

Might help if you post server name (and in Darkside’s case, without using profanity)
