Before The Storm [CaLM]
StormBluff Isle server
StormBluff Isle is experiencing what HoD has experienced. However, we have alot of players who will bond together and fight back. It makes it alot more exciting to be fighting as an underdog. =D
Thanks for the thread.
Ya we’re also recruiting as well if you want to be in a guild. we’re an all around PvX guild. If you have real life stuff going on alot or a hectic schedule, welcome to the club lol.
To us, GW2 is our getaway

Before The Storm[CaLM]
Naznin, that probably explains why our servers fought so well against each other. SBI is a great community server. I rather do everything the game offer insteadoffocusing mainly on wvw. Trust me, after being tier one after awhile, there really isnt much challenge or fun anymore.
I wish Anet came out with a system where the Tiers are re-labeled as groups, and each group has a different competitor each week.
Like SBI vs TC vs SoR one week, then it changes randomly next week to SBI vs BG vs HoD.
this tier stuff is not really fun
Hey everyone. Im an Officer from one of the guilds in SBI.
Let me start off by asking you this question: What makes WvW or GW2 fun for you personally?
For me , What makes WvW fun is the teams you get to work with, the competition you face and the friendships you create in the end.
Yes, SBI was Tier 1 for awhile then things started getting tiring facing the same competition for months and a lack of new WvW material. Can you imagine doing the same tactics week after week after week and knowing your enemy to the point where you mind as well marry them?!! Take it from me, the WvW experience gets very DULL when you are facing the same competition for a lifetime.
My server, StormBluff, grew alittle weary & worn over the months. We all kept our fingers crossed to either face new competition or drop down to Tier2 just to face new blood. And thats where SoR and TC came in and gave us a new challenge again. That first night we fought you guys especially at one of the Garrisons was one of the best WvW experiences Ive ever had and I can say that for many others on our server. Im pretty positive you guys had the same thoughts as well.
Now with the recent annoucements from Anet, everyone is trying to brainstorm, think ahead and figure out what to do before the January 28th deadline. Are people transfering? Yes. Am I worried? No, and you shouldn’t either.
“One” of the main reasons people are transfering is due to many WvW headstrong players not getting along very well with each other. Everyone wants to be in charge and do things their way and what the WvW community needs is more open minded leadership who are willing to work with others. If you want Drama, there’s plenty of reality tv shows on these days to fulfill your needs. But this is a game, and all that anger energy should be used in the battlefield! >:D
Whether it be that some people are transfering to get an early advantage in WVW or to be with other WvW heavy guilds, thats their choice. Just remember that when your on Top, there’s no other direction to go except down. And thats only if you grow weary of the same competition.
Ive seen so many great stories of Servers moving up the ladder after “falling from grace”. This talk going on about SBI “falling from grace” or SBI “dying” is very dramatic and very silly at best. Nothing lasts forever and Guild Wars 2 is still a new game. Things are destined to change along the way.
This game has so much to offer. But in the end,
creating new friendships with other guilds in the GW2 community is a major blessing. And friendships can last forever. Thats all that should matter in the end.
So, with that being said, I strongly encourage everyone to sit back, relax, and just have fun.
My Name is Mighty Tempest and I am in Before The Storm[CaLM], a PvX guild. feel free to whisper me. I’m Always looking for friendships whether your in a different server or guild. :-D
