I have the exact same problem, it temporary fixes the problem when you log onto a diffrent windows user account (as administrator). Eventually, Anet’s tech support told me to format/replace my HDD. Replacing was a little extreme since mine is pretty much new once i ran a format the game ran fine for a day or so, but now as soon GW2 crashes my skype goes down with it due to an I/O error…. Do you have the problem with any character in paticular? This problem only pops up when I’m playing on my warrior and rarely on my ranger, this problem never occured on my engineer or mesmer.
