Guild Wars 2

Hello Everyone,

I am a newish player to the game, but not new to gaming itself. I have a 80 mesmer (main – geared) and 80 ranger (alt – no real attention at 80). While my foundation in GW2 is rather rocky atm, I’m looking to find a solid guild on Tarnished Coast that accepts players who are competent enough to learn quickly, but don’t necessarily have the experience yet. I love participating in PVE and PVP in most games I play, but am struggling to find an established guild in this game.

Reading these forums, I’ve had a similar experience that a few other posters shared in their threads. This problem is finding an active/solid guild that doesn’t simply stick to their ‘clique’ groups. While I fully understand people/groups tend to get into a grove running with the same people, it can often make it difficult for those interested in the game to actually get into it, gw2lfg can only take you so far when it comes to doing stuff at 80. I love the lfg website, and am thankful for it since its been pretty much the only way I’ve been able to find dungeon groups, but the story is almost always the same. Everyone expects you to just know the dungeons you’ve never ran before (especially exp modes), and asking for a simple explanation of what to expect results in ‘LETS GO’, ‘SKIP’, ‘JUST FOLLOW ME’… which leads to frustration by both parties when things don’t go as expected. I don’t need my hand held, but going into things blind hardly ever works out. :|
