According to everyone here, courtesy is for the weak. In my little experience of WvW it seems like everyone is a ravenous dog looking for kills and loot. Atleast most people in PvP have the kitten decency to say “Gg” afterwards and are respectful. Camping jumping puzzles… honestly.

You’re confused. A “Christmas truce” where everyone decides not to murder each other right now is fine. The movie “Warhorse” had another good example where it’s probably okay to not murder each other right now.

If your enemy is out there looting siege equipment that they are going to use later to kill you and everyone you know then maaaaaybe that’s a dumb time for a truce. (“Haha yes, let us have peace on this day! Say, can you help me carry this cannon? In the spirit of brotherly love, would you mind helping me load it? Okay, now go stand over there…”)

Except that for a lot of people, they don’t care about the siege equipment. I myself have just destroyed them since they take up precious space in my inventory.

You sir, should be killed every time you enter the jumping puzzle as you are an anathma to the WvW world.

I don’t personally kill people in there, although I think they should be killed, as I despise jumping puzzles more than normal PVE content, thus do not find myself in there, but for you, I would sit and kill you over and over until you logged off.

Or, you could not give a natts chuff about your rank and just play on whatever character you are having most fun on at the time, or the one most suitable for the situation at hand.

I really like the idea of collision detection.

Imagine, you are trebbing down a wall, it falls, you have the defenders outnumbered, but they put their warriors and guardians into the breach with any ranged and squishies behind. You could just charge, but you are more than likely going to assess and decide to attack using an element of strategy, send in your heavies first maybe, or ranging them down a bit first from afar. The whole idea opens up new ways of us being more creative in the way we fight. As it stands now, we just charge in and run them over, often some are left not even hit by the time we are in the Lords Room, it is too simplistic, currently the game is made to suit the lowest common denominator, let’s up the tactical skill threshold and realism a little maybe.

For those who like massive armies, imagine how good it would look to see your 50man unit spread out, like real army, rather balled up like…..well, I have no idea what they are like, no such thing actually exists.

As an afterthought, it would get rid of those immediate rezzes too when people have fallen, since you can’t ball up on them.

Cant get map completion due to WvW

Arena net, PLEASE find a way so people who enter WvW have the option to go as combatants or just for the sake of getting their 100% world completions, and make those people unable to kill or be killed..

Arena net, PLEASE ignore the above post. These people should not be allowed to take up valuable spots within WvW, if they are only serving their own interests. We need WvWers in WvW.

If of course, you want to make WvWers invulnerable in Fractals, I am all for that as a trade off. Easy way for some nice shiny gear with no fear of dying or failing, nice way to subsidise my WvW costs!

You are correct, but this was approaching 100 years ago, and is still talked about today as a great thing, does that not tell you what a rarity it was? These things are not commonplace, war I am afraid, is about death.

I really don’t get this “be nice to your enemy if they don’t want to fight” concept. WvW is a war, in a war, you do not allow enemies to wander into a supply depot and ransack various items of heavy weaponary that can be used against you later. Since we do not have the functionality of taking prisoners, killing them is the only option.

On the surrender option, I am all for that, if, once surrendered, they have to sit in our spawn area, tied up and unable to participate in any further WvW for a defined number of hours. If you surrender, you are out of the game folks.

No need to feel bad, he should not be in WvW if he does not want to fight.

No exceptions.

The carebears of the world can cackle on all they want, anyone whatsoever in WvW is fair game.

TC isn’t aiming to go to tier 1. A lot actually don’t want to. We’re just filling a coverage gap we’d have since release. We had players putting in hours longer then they’d want to, and now that we’ve filled the gap a bit, they can relax.

I sincerely hope that you are correct, only time will tell.

With the respective goals of each server I don’t understand all the antagonistic feelings (okay I do, but bear with me here).

FA is happy to be in T2 with some great fights, not caring too much about the score. TC wants to better their server through the meta and move up the ladder, eventually (but not immediately) securing a spot in T1. These goals are in no way mutually exclusive. TC can continue to win the tier and FA can have its GvG/Open field fights. Maybe not with as many TC guilds, but I’m sure there are some willing to try and plenty of KN guilds as well.

In light of that it really is a win win situation for both.

And to TC: For what it is worth I would recommend giving GvG a try. I feel you guys are going to win the week by a comfortable margin. GvG gives both parties a place to have a bit of fun, improve tactics, and prep for some T1 fights.

From what I have seen, the guilds that have done it from TC and KN (e.g. CERN, RISE), have been treated fairly and shown full respect from the FA guilds they fought. I’m sure that they themselves can attest to it.

That point about T1 is incorrect. Whenever we discuss it, the majority of us don’t want to be in T1.

Whilst your comment is true, I feel that the majority have been ignored in favour of the minority when we are paying other guilds to join our server in an effort to reach Tier 1.

Whilst I personally think that much of the OPs ideas sound great, it is something that in my opinion, Anet will think is a terrible concept.

Currently, as we all know, commander tags are bought with cash, some of which, quite possible, large amounts of, acquired from the cash shop with gem to gold conversions.

Personally I can never see Anet removing something from their game, whilst people are still happy to open their wallets.
