Ok, I have had a go at converting the theme from Princess Mononoke using some sheet music I found here. Improvements to this are welcome. I don’t have nearly enough skill to play this so instead I shall add a link to the soundtrack to give people an idea of the timing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Dpqy4x5PQk (orchestras would be awesome here but sadly we don’t have anything from an orchestral string section (harps are usually in a section of their own) and we don’t have quite the amount of control over the instruments that would be needed (b and #).
Anyway, here’s my attempt at the music.

That’s true, I don’t know though if they take into account what you have equipped at that time or if you are in combat or not, probably not. I wouldn’t risk it though, it was just a cool idea since there are some tunes that I think would sound awesome on the harp/flute but since they are quite complex, I was just mulling over the idea of using macros to play them.

However did any of those have to use more keys to switch octaves? If they gave me a way of using all the letters on my keyboard (one row of characters per octave for the harp) to play the melody, I would quite happily use that

I was just wondering what the official stance was on using a macro to automate playing a tune on a musical instrument? It gives you no advantage over other players so I was wondering if the rule “one click per action” still applied to that. I would hate to get banned for programming melodies for my harp

I totally agree with you there, for 3 refreshes in a row we’ve been the same colour which makes 100% exploration very hard.

I lost control over movement with my character (a usual precursor to disconnection) so I could no longer continue with the event (it moved on beyond my reach). I tried relogging and it tells me that the login servers are down. I keep trying for about 2 hours afterwards and when I finally do get back in, I get redirected to an overflow server where the event finished ages ago and so I have lost any potential reward from the event. I don’t usually complain but this event left me with nothing but an empty feeling, a feeling of having wasted 3 hours for nothing. Seriously not impressed.
