My brother just sits and spams his AoE skills on his necro with minions so that seems pretty boring to me, I think he uses staff… whichever weapon gives necro 4 AoE skills.
I’d go Ele if you like to stay on your toes, you will be switching between elements constantly and I enjoy them in pvp/
Well to be honest i don’t use staff w/ my necro cause i also find it boring… also the AOE skills don’t have such a good range. Also tell your brother that of he doesn’t start moving around and dodging he will regret it in a few lvls…
So…. what did u pick? :P
Hehe I would like to see that lol :)
Thanks good to know since I just got lvl 80 and I was thinking that Orr is kinda boring.
I guess the topic has been posted again… :/
Unfortunately Progulous is right… every time there is a underwater champion boss I’m like yes this will be an awesome fight and when I get close there is nobody to help… -.-’
BRING BACK point-click for movement [like in Guild Wars 1]...

If you bring back the point click movement it wouldn’t work out. That is because this game has been designed to include the moving around the world as 1 of the challenges offered to us. for example “Vistas” or many “Points of Interest” and “Jumping Puzzles” require that you pay attention to the way you move. It would ruin the whole purpose of you just add point click movement.
Besides GW and GW2 are two very different games.
This topic might have been posted before but since I am new at the forums I haven’t encountered it so far.
Although a Necromancer can have multiple minions at the same time he/she does not have the ability to control them. By that I mean that he/she cannot order the minions to attack a specific target with-ought the Necromancer also attacking that target. That can limit the choices of the Necromancer significantly since he/she always get the starting agro of the mob he/she attacks and he cannot order his minions to attack a separate target from the one he/she is attacking.
I think that such an option should be added because it would increase the classes variety of strategies significantly. For example you could sent the minions keep the veteran miniboss occupied while you are taking care of the weaker mobs.
So what do you guys say?
P.S. Don’t get me wrong I love the Necromancer class the way it is I personally have one that’s now 80 lvl and I still have so much to do and learn about the class.
I’m sorry if I was not clear. I didn’t mean that someone else should choose for me I would just like to hear other peoples opinions about the class. Because someone who has played with a Guardian for a while will have a better overall image of the class rather than me that I have a 15 lvl one.
What I mean is that I do not wish to people to decide for me but I think that hearing other peoples opinions would be an extra help.
Also I am going to try the rest of the classes too before I choose I just haven’t done so yet.
Hello,
My first character is a human Necromancer who I just got lvl 80. I had an amazing time lvling him up but now I want to choose another class.
I made an Elementalist and got her to lvl 18. I can’t say I really was impressed as I think it is a rather straight forward class. (Fire= Pure dmg and burning, Earth = More toughness etc.)
I tried an Engineer up to lvl 9 and he seems promising but also tricky to master. That’s because even though he has few weapon choices the slot skills, elixirs, grenade packs and turrets can totally change the way you play.
Guardian (lvl 15) seems like a very limited class to pseudo tank – support as he has a very small weapon variety and the slot skills so far are based on boons.
And finally I tried a Hunter (only lvl 4) who although loved in GW I was slightly disappointing in GW 2. That might be because I only tried melee weapons and no bows and I didn’t look into the pet system at all, so I don’t wanna reach any conclusions for now.
That’s all the classes I’ve tried and my opinion about them so far.
I myself prefer range high dmg characters and good AOE attacks. But I wouldn’t mind a change.
So please tell me what you think and which class I should choose? That includes Thief, Warrior and Mesmer which I haven’t tried…
Thank you for your time. :)

Link didn’t work, just typed it in browser. Thanks for the site.
I’m gonna agree with zeromius on that…
I’ve been facing the same bugs both on earthe and in water so I don’g think that there is an issue w/ underwater combat. But I do hate hate hate the 100 miles agro thing. :/

I hven’t spoted such a blog yet but I can tell u that power does not affect condition dmg.
Try getting items w/ high cond dmg… Necros are not very good ag dealing direct dmg but if u use many conditions then that truly helps.
Well I got my neceomancer lvl 80 yesterday and I can reasure you that it has been a great experience.
While I focus on condition dmg with many AOE attacks I could easily switch weapons an focus great condition and direct dmg on a single enemy.
So necromancer can be great at PvE as well as dungeons. I cannot be 100% sure avout PvP though since I have only tried it a couple of times. But, so far I am satisfied also with PvP.
Yes necromancer has tons of weapon clmbos to choose an if you combine them wjth the right slots skills the results are amazing. For example I have scepter main hand and dagger off hand. These two combine with the slot skills Plague and Epidemic are able to do immense damage to any number of enemies in the area around you. And when needed you can switch to an axe main hand and war horn of hand and take down single enemies while still dealing some damage to the rest with the slot skills u have.
As I already said I have had a really good experience with the necromancer from the very start to the end. Also yes you better not stay still spamming moves unless you have a crush to the NPC that repairs your armor.
Well for the elementalist I can’t say much since mine is only lvl 18 but it looks like a fun class.
I hope that helped. :)
