I removed the “Guild Wars 2” folder from My Documents, tried again, it downloaded for about 3 seconds then went straight to 100% again.

What is going on?

Hey All,

I was downloading GW2 onto this computer (Windows 7 Professional, 64bit) today, when it decided to crash out and say there was no internet connection (paraphrasing, I can’t remember the exact issue, but the error code was -2) – my internet connection has been fine all afternoon, I haven’t had any loss of connectivity so I don’t know why it said that, I do not have a firewall on. I also do not believe it completed it’s download, so I don’t know why it’s doing it.

So I restarted the installer, and it is now “stuck” on 100% (see attached image) but won’t let me click play. How do I fix this?

Edit: Ignore the stuff behind the GW2 client… that’s the work I do for my boss.

I don’t think removing it is a good idea… for future people having the same issue’s sake.

fps issues since latest update

I’m also getting issues with lag after the patch… it was fine before but it seems like my FPS goes down then back to normal after 2 seconds every few seconds (the only way I can really describe what’s happening)… it’s driving me insane because I was at 60FPS all the time before.

Hey All,

I’m going to be reinstalling Windows (going from 8 back to 7) tonight and I wonder if it’s possible to keep the GW2 files so it doesn’t have to spend hours downloading again?
