Yep, down for me too. Restarted computer, deleted cache and app support files. No luck.
Though the gamma problem is being much more aggressive now.
I can’t help but wonder how many people here are in guilds, and have friends. Friends with PCs who you can bicker with in Whisper while they buy/sell things for you.
Not optimal, but it works. And we get to bicker about prices and stuff.
Ooh, just read other people’s responses. Like those answers better.
same problem but i notice that top of the window of black lion trade post…. it says GEM (0) what does that mean cause before this trade post bug i have more then 5000 gems,,,,, please someone tell me my gems didn’t vanish,,,,,
There is a certificate problem meaning that your client is refusing to talk to the servers in question. From a security perspective, this is a good thing. From an “Oops! The Mac client can’t automatically accept new valid certificates” not so much.
Most likely the script that populates that gem count field is part of the remote content being refused, so it never reads and sets the display value.
Always a challenge to give firm deadlines, since they can and will be wrong. Always a challenge to not give them because people will feel they are not being listened to. The Internet has taught people to want immediate answers, which is problematic because sometimes there aren’t any.
I used to teach and once had a student email me with a question at 1am Saturday night. Then again, at 3am Saturday night to tell me what a bad professor I was for not getting back to them yet. I stripped the identifying information off and posted it on the course site on how not to communicate when you need someone to do something for you.
Perhaps someone needs to write a workflow tracker to create simple graphics to drop in forums that tell people where in the process things are based on current ticket status and other trackable measures. The resolution time is, after all, indeterminate, but telling people where things stand right now, well that is pretty concrete, even if it may not be pretty.
Yes, would definitely be nice to have a search function that searches. At present there are apparently no articles mentioning the Trading Post, but there is one mentioning April … specifically, many people pointing out that the Trading Post stopped working on the Mac client some time yesterday.
Makes it really, really hard to look for known bugs and solutions before starting a new chain.
/me ambles off to see if maybe the problem is that they are looking to hire someone to manage the forums and documentation even as we complain.

In the same boat with broken Trading Post.
No Gem store at all. Buy and Sell tabs blank or broken form. Looks like it loads the page structure then dies before loading styling elements or building out content array. The broken has happened before, but never consistently. Usually just close and click again. No problem. And the blank page has never outlived a restart.
For about a week before this, going into Buy or Sell has almost always locked me out of the Gem store without a relog, and going in to the Gem store has locked me out of Buy / Sell without a relog if that helps isolate anything.
Just for reference, I have tried all of the following in more or less this order:
- tried different locations
- relogged
- restarted game
- rebooted computer
- rebooted network
- deleted cache
- tried multiple networks, wired and wireless
- killed errant Wine tasks floating about
- did a full reinstall
- zapped PRAM
- complained (well, okay, this was probably concurrent with every other item here)
If anything is missing, will be glad to try that too. Hate reporting something until after I have tried to beat it to death myself.
