Guild Wars 2

Hello,

I played GW2 a bit during launch but admittedly didn’t get very far in leveling and haven’t experienced a whole lot of what this game offers. As a result, I have a couple of low level toons, but I’ve returned to play this lately because WoW is a shell of what it used to be, and SWTOR is just aggravating. I’m just leveling a few toons right now for fun, but I’ll probably create a Revanant once the expansion comes out, since I’m not in love with any of the current professions. It looks more interesting to me.

My interest in mostly in WvW. I’m not an all-star PvPer, but I am pretty good with group play and objective-type stuff, so I think there’s a place for me in WvW as I learn how to play this game best. I also have interest in World Bosses and Small-group Dungeons. Seems to be basically everything except battleground-type PvP – I’m ok at it but it’s never really held my interest – I tend to get too angry when we lose.

My toons are on Blackgate and I’m in the Pacific Time Zone. Although I don’t have a ton of experience with Gwuild Wars 2, I am an MMO veteran, so I’ll probably learn pretty quickly. I also travel here and there during the summer, so my playtimes aren’t that regular. I’m around a bunch, just not predictably at the same time.

If there’s a guild on Blackgate that focuses on the areas that I play, I’d like to hear what you have to offer and see if you’re the right group for me. I’m not a young kid (which you can probably already tell by my long sentences and mostly-correct grammar), so an adult guild would be preferable. I do have access to Ventrilo, Mumble and Teamspeak, but since I just moved to the west coast, my microphone is sitting in a box for another four weeks so won’t be that chatty for a few weeks. Can hear just fine, though.

If you think I might be a good fit for what you’ve got, please let me know. I prefer active, populated guilds. I get bored if there’s only like 2 or 3 people online.

Hello – I played this game at launch but had to stop soon thereafter. Not long after that, WoW called back to me. After getting sick of hardcore raiding for the last time, I finally uninstalled WoW and have no intention of going back.

I used to be a hardcore raider and an above-average PvPer (I was good but not amazing, always played to objectives, no fighting on roads, etc).

I’m looking to be a bit more casual and am looking for a good-sized guild to join up with in order to learn all over again, basically. I like doing dungeons, I like doing WvW and almost everything else. I’m not big on the fluff stuff (jumping puzzles), but it’s a nice distraction occasionally.

If your guild is made up of adults who are skilled players and have room for me, I’d appreciate it. I’m a good future investment once I get back into the swing of things, since I’d basically be starting from scratch. My highest toon is only 25 and I have no problem with starting over and leveling a new character if you need a certain class (assuming it’s a class I’d enjoy playing).
