I’d also very much love to see such an option, and I don’t see any issues that would make it impossible (other than "we don’t want to make it).
Story being influenced by race has at least a couple of possible solutions:
- Item to be allowed for use only on characters who have already completed the personal story.
- Item to change the race in terms of appearance, but otherwise to remain the original for the purpose of story.
- Item to reset all your personal story to stage 1, and make you replay it, without getting any rewards for it.
I am sure I can think of more ways to work it around.
Regarding the cultural armors:
- You will no longer be able to use them after you change race. You will not be able to change race as long as you have any cultural armor pieces equipped (or they will be automatically unequipped when you do).
I have 1 character of each class and each race, without charr. I’d love to change my revenant norn to charr, but deleting it doesn’t look like an attractive option because I have 100% map completion on it, crafting skills, and time since creation (for birthday). If they make a consumable item that enables race change, I’d readily pay some 2000 gems for it.

Friends Playing Together Pvp [sPvP] is a new guild which aims to focus (who would have guessed?) entirely on the PvP aspect of the game.
We seek to build a community of people who share our passion for PvP and thus, make it easy for people to group up for casual or ranked PvP.
We don’t aim to become the best of the best, and we welcome any level-headed, friendly people, who enjoy PvP.
We do not require any serious commitment, and the only rule is to be polite to other players.
You are free to be part of other guilds too.
Representation is not required, but it would be nice if you do at least during the time you are playing PvP.
We will have Discord, but using it is entirely optional.
We are not planning to do Guild Missions, but we will occasionally do in-guild events like duels, possibly with rewards for the winners.

I’ve been playing GW2 for 10 months now, and I have tried a few PvP guilds, but they were all either too hardcore or not really active and almost never wanted to group up.
For over 3 years I’ve been running a purely PvP guild in SWTOR, and we somehow managed to find the perfect balance between casual and hardcore. We were people who only played PvP, so we became pretty good players, but at the same time, we didn’t mind grouping with people who had little experience with PvP, helping them to become good players, too. We were friendly to everyone who shared our passion for casual PvP and strongly opposed the elitist attitude of the hardcore guilds, who would call people noobs and idiots when a game was lost.
So if there is a guild like this, I would like to join.
If there isn’t, I’d very much like to start one with like-minded people.
