1 Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar.
2 Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A drop-down will appear.
3 While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” drop-down.
4 Once in the Library folder click on Application Support > Guild Wars 2
5 Move the entire Guild Wars 2 folder to the trash and then empty the trash.
The next time you launch Guild Wars 2 it will recreate the recently deleted folder.Try that. This is not deleting the app, it’s deleting certain files the launcher uses and forcing it to rebuild itself.
Alright cool. Will that effect my download on the game? Do i have to re-download it again?
This is exactly what’s going on with my client now. After a whole day of not being able to download it and now that it’s downloaded it won’t load. hahah omg! =(
Just a heads up. The percentage is for the number of files downloaded in that particular sitting. So if you close the client at 22%, and then reopen it, it will ignore the 22% you downloaded already and the percentage will go back to 0% – though since you’ve already downloaded 22% you will have less files to download. Sorry if that was a workabout way of explaining it. Fried brain at the moment.
As to getting the installer to run.
I would suggest trying to delete your gw2 folder in Application Support inside your user Library.
I’ve deleted the app and re installed it again and this time it worked and now its downloaded. Now when i press “play” nothing happens lol oh mannnnnn
Was thinking it was just me… Ughh…
Ahhh man i hope you can get it installed! last resort i can use bootcamp and use windows but i don’t wanna do that
I left my the client to download when i came back it was stuck at 22% with 0.00KB. I closed the client and started it back up and it stuck at 0% now. I checked my firewall to make sure it’s not getting blocked too and still the same. I also have over 300+ GB left in my mac too. Is there anything else I have to do?
Btw my system specs. I hope this helps
