I would love to see fishing in GW2, I use to fish all the time in WoW and found it very nice and relaxing
GoZero, that was a harsh reply, as Cardstar said what is the point of a suggestions board so people will be making suggestions!
I agree with you Cardstar, I have a ele and a ranger, for my ele I use Q for a heal but for my ranger i prefer to have Q as send pet
As far as those who complain about turning the game into a lobby, then why not only allow queuing at the dungeon doors? Everyone is sitting there anyways.
I like this idea, as you said everyone is just outside anyway!
This seems to be such a 50/50 split between wanting a queuing system to not wanting one. I for one kind of see it as a good idea, as a casual player I do want to get into a dungeon quickly. However from a more hardcore player’s point of view I get that you want to form your own group by using the chat system
I’d say introduce a queue system but if you use that the dungeon is a bit easier and the rewards are not as good. If you assemble your own team and run the dungeon the rewards are better. Kind of like the ‘Looking for Raid’ tool in wow
Game wasn’t designed with flying in mind so it could get nasty in some places and you might see things you should not. Tbh i don’t mind.
Doesn’t have to necessarily be flying and also if it is set paths i.e. not flying mounts then the ‘nasty’ places can be avoided
Waypoints are faster;p
True, but not as immersive and takes away the open world feel (at least for me)
@Sirendor. yeah seeing people race past may look somewhat strange, though one of the best things I loved about travelling was seeing other players doing their own thing. Also i found it cool to be running around then a low flying transport shot over your head. Maybe they can introduce some sort of ‘phasing’ where you see some but not everyone (Don’t know if thats even possible! I’m not a programmer!)
Like the idea of different methods too, maybe each zone can have their own taxi service which is different
@marnick: many times have I flown around WoW and yeah granted it can get a little boring but its part of the world, makes it feel huge. As mentioned above Its really cool to be flying over a zone and look down on people questing, pvping and just playing the game. It really gives you a feel of a active world.
Hey
Not sure if this has been discussed before, there have been lots of posts about mounts/flying mounts but not sure about this.
I like the idea of waypoints, they get you round the area of the map but instead of just teleporters why not have some sort of taxi/transport service like a flightpath/cart. Sure it’s slower but in my opinion it gives the world a more open feel travelling around rather than just looking at a loading screen.
before anyone response with ’don’t use waypoints then’ I like using them as they are a good way to get you around the map, just the loading screen takes you out of the open world a little bit
