New ticket #: 1298990 “Can’t change password”

The first ticket I created was because I had forgotten I changed my email address so I asked that ticket to be closed. When I tried changing my password with the current email address I got the error that I had to contact support, so I created a new ticket under the correct email address.

I had no idea the tickets would be tied together, but since I asked the other to be closed and got a confirmation message from your support team that it was closed. Naturally I assumed I had to create a new ticket. So for that I apologize. In any event, the issue is still ongoing and I’d really just like to be able to change my password.

My account isn’t compromised because, as stated in my ticket and here, I have 2-step authentication on both my GW2 account and email account that notifies my phone when there’s an attempt. I never received any messages about any attempts except the ones I made.

I appreciate you looking at my tickets. Thank you.

“1158386 Closed as a duplicate ticket. Solved.”

This isn’t a duplicate ticket and it isn’t solved. I have my original account I pre-purchased back in July 2012. When I try changing my password on THAT account it won’t just accept my email address. Instead it asks for my email, my serial code, and a character name. When I put in all 3 I get an error screen saying I need to contact support.

THIS forum account was made with my NEW GW2 account I bought during the sale that you put on when you announced your new expansion. I need to use this account to post on this thread because I can’t login with my original.

I still can’t change the password on my original account and I’m still not getting any help from you or your support team. I just want to play my kitten account please. I waited over a month to be told it was a duplicate ticket when I only created the one? Why?

1158386:Can’t change password

Sent 34 days ago. Would really appreciate a reply. Tried to change my password after having not played for a long period of time, but every time I try it says I need to contact support to change it. I have both my account and my email account secured with 2-step verification by way of phone, so there’s no way my account could’ve been hacked.

Tried to change the password on my original GW2 account. I haven’t used in awhile and forgot my pw so I tried changing it but it said I had to contact support to have my account recovered. There’s no way it was hacked into. Both my GW2 account and my email account use 2-step authentication.
