Im not sure if there is a serious inbalance of elite skills, while some might seem useless, the addition of more could possibly benefit and prove to have more usefull ones in the future for those who arent comfortable with the few they have to choose from. I know as an elementalist i hated choosing between Elemental and Tornado, given a non WvW setting for tornado, most of it is just useless. So thats why i started this forum. A-Net has already mentioned in previous threads that ideas should flow and possibilities are endless. Even sylvari kids!
So lets toss some ideas shall we
How about a “Dark Dagger” of sorts. Thrown like the normal dagger throw with Dagger offhand, however this marks the target and you my shadowstep to the target 2-3 times before the CD begins again.
Idea for engineer:
A new turret? Possible “Gatling Turret” Does large amounts of burst similar to a thief “Unload” ability, but only does it twice and cannot be overcharged? Have a 3-5 sec pause in between bursts and lasts 13-15 sec?

Well, Like many, i was very excited to log in one day and see new heal skills! it made me happy to see new content for not just gear/world/cosmetic/story. I loved the idea of building our characters as the story went on, as if we where growing stronger and adapting. So, i had an idea! With a new dragon and a new HUGE hurdle to jump over since Zaitan, i thought it would be a great idea to introduce new elite skills!
I have one idea:
Elementalist: Elemental Infused Weapons! Causes certain conditions and a little extra damage based on your attunement (Example, 5-10% Damage increase and causes burning for 1-2sec as fire, or maybe a chance at a fire burst like the Sigil of Fire?) Lasts around 10sec? Has a 120sec CD? (Add a cool effect like cloaked in fire or larger burning on the hands than normal to show its active?)

Well, i can find two flaws in your post… however i do understand where you are coming from. If it is a fairness issue you want to talk about then lets bring to light the possibility of people quitting the game due to the sense of unaccomplished hours playing in not achieving anything toward a legendary after having all of the previous required mats even.
Look, no one wants A-Net to loose players. So that’s not what im trying to promote here. Im attempting to promote the question of raising prices vs save time and play time. NOT having it just given to them. Would you agree a 800-900g Price range is more reasonable? and the whole “I knew it wasnt worth looking at” thing wasnt necessary. Dont simply word something on the opposite side of the spectrum like “HE WANTS IT FREE” and expect a positive responce.
Secondly…Bored and ran out of things to do? You do realize this game is a “LIVING WORLD” right? Your bored of the current content? Wait a week. Take a break. Check in tomorrow. Same goes for after you achieve a legendary. Do you see those people who have legionaries suddenly stop playing? No. its not realistic.
I Love Guild Wars 2 and hope to see the game succeed and advance well beyond the 4-5 year anniversary threshold.
This in mind, Innovation is a complete necessity.
Im here to share my idea and hopefully see the community throw a few ideas aswell!
Ill start
…
How about a legendary that used a legendary as a precursor. This can keep players enticed in the game and reduce a feeling of commonality in Legendary when the years advance and more people acquire these weapons.
And every Legendary needs an effect!
So why not head effects!?
Example: Sunrise becoming an advanced remodeled version and when drawn has a “Halo” type effect around the head. Or Molten Horns on The Incinerator!
Well… i tryed to explain that the recognition was not intended to myself but instead was intended to everyone in general… Sorry to say there isn’t much more i can say to explain it to you.
Thats the whole point behind this Insane…
Im trying to draw attention to the voices who have mentioned the same so far.
This post is to attempt some feedback and promote others to voice their opinion as well.
I think if it is seriously a topic that people keep crying out about but might be going un-noticed, it needs to be looked at.
If its not a topic worth talking about, let it sink.
I say let the public choose
Now, im not a member or employee of A-Net, nor do i claim to understand how the economy works. But i do understand a very large amount due to constant observation and research behind current topics in GW2.
The issue id like to bring to light today is… Precursors! Yes, i am aware that there are a million plus people voicing their opinions on precursors, but that alone says something in itself. So hear me out.
Precursor prices have raised steadily from the beginning release of the game. This shouldn’t come as a surprise and nor is it abnormal. With the games changes in economy and gold being relatively easier to come across… its understandable for those who understand the method of “Strong Currency”. However, there are a few things i would like to mention. it is said that in the past A-Net has mentioned that the climbing price is a concern and they will “Continue to monitor” and claim to take action when necessary…
So my main question is, Does this superior climb and ecstatic fluctuating market worry A-Net? Did they take into account the possibility of rarity/desire (Due to massive increase in demand) with the shared Legendary and Ascended patch? Or more simply put, as a concern for many players… What would it take for A-Net to act. As we have seen very recently they have enacted an “Increased” drop rate. Do they intend to act again? But most of all, statistically speaking, is it very possible for a player to NEVER see a precursor just due to numbers put in place such as “.02%”.
To put it simply… The price is unrealistic for many players to save gold for months or spend $200 (Literally) or crossing your fingers when you log on can result in disappointment for many players.
Is this a problem worth looking at? or could it become a problem worth looking at?
Sincerely: Concerned Player
If they intend this to be kept a lvl 80 feature for Legendarys aswell i suggest making it craft able out of 80 mats, or better yet make boxed that may include them available to craft in the Mystic Forge. this would make its rarity a little less elusive as well as keep the tier 2 mats for the tier 2 players and differ the 80s to their tier items to get a hold of these as well. And as a bonus, make these a little less gambling nonsense and a little more farming.
Seeking answers and i created a monster. i feel like a mad scientist…. and alittle proud too.
This is talking about the fluctuation of the TP and its imbalance with supply/demand, not farming them.
Here is a general idea for the market
http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/24502
Select the “All” option to view the market for Silver Doubloons as a whole.
Hello! I have a concern about the current and future prices of Silver Doubloons. In the pass of time the prices have increased and are still increasing to this day. I understand that people might hoard these and then sell them at peak times for max gold profit, which in turn would cause the echonomic demand to go down and in turn decrease the price. However, the decrease has been shown to be fairly minimal at curves. Prices vary from 1-20 Silver per curve, while increasing at 20-50 weekly. now as echonomy is based mainly on the player base’s activity in said area it is very VERY hard to predict. but the price has increased long term. roughly 3 times its original price over the year period. We might even be able to expect them to be anywhere from 4 Times to 10 times the price a year ago within the next few months. The fact is, the demand for the Silver Doubloons is much higher than the Drop/sell rate that others who don’t need them is.
Summary: The demand for Silver doubloons over a year has increased, and is still increasing. Where as the production/Selling/reselling of the silver doubloons is substantially low. With the information gathered over a year period, we can assume the prices wont go down any time soon within a 3 Month to Year period. Risking increased prices the entire time.
This brings me to my question, Does A.Net intend for the price per silver doubloon to be worth anywhere from 3 gold to 10 gold or more? Or is this indeed an area that needs to be looked over?
