Just a real quick question.
I am trying to go as offensive as I possibly can, do most rangers focus on Power or Precision? I assumed Power and have focused thusly, but this wouldn’t be the first time I’m wrong.
Thanks!
Thanks a ton! Very helpful post.
Hi,
I played the game since launch and took a break for a couple of months. I am back now to find that there is a new dungeon system with a gear grind that I can sink my teeth into. the major reason I stopped playing was that I couldn’t get better gear than the Exotics that I had.
So I am back, a little lost, and looking for guidance. Where does one start with FotM? I am level 80, in all Exotics gear. Could a helpful community member show me the way? Are there other gear progressions outside of FotM now?
Thanks a ton!
If I was drunk when I agreed to the UELA, am I bound to it?
Once again, I appreciate the response. All I was looking for was even a sliver of something to do. I will take a long term project and grind it to the grave
Thanks again!
Appreciate the response! I know a lot of people hate the gear grind, but it is something I enjoy in an MMO (No, I’ve never played WoW).
I’ll look into that, thank you.
Anything to do with my abundance of skill points?
Hey All,
I played the game pretty intensively since launch. It was fun leveling up, crafting, getting new gear and progressing through the game. I hit 80, maxed two trade skills, got all the skills I wanted and took to the battleground to WvW, which was fun for a while.
To me, advancing you character is the point of an MMO, and as soon as I found out that any new gear that ever drops is just for appearance, I felt that I was at a point, having got all the skills I wanted and all the “top end” gear, that I was just playing for the sake of Team Deathmatch, which I could easily do in Call of Duty. Except unlike in CoD, if everyone ends up with the same stats and gear, PVP is just a sheer numbers game.
That’s the sob story, but my question, as I re-log into the game after a few months is- What is there for me to do at this point? Is there anything I can do to advance my character? This game was fun when I was achieving things, I want to keep doing that.
Any Suggestions? I appreciate it!
The goal of the mesmer ports is not to create an invisible army. As someone who frequently uses mesmer ports, I wish there was no rendering issues so that A) I can see where people are when I come through, and B ) people will stop complaining that it is an exploit.
The goal is to get position your enemy, use the element of surprise, outflank and confuse. Exactly the intention of the portal skill.
The solution is not to nerf them into oblivious so that only 5 people can go through, the solution is to fix the rendering so that the skill can work as intended.
As for people glitching through walls and flying and what not. That stuff has no place in the game and its a shame that 1 or 2 people will do it and make an entire server look bad.
I am really enjoying this game, I’m level 80 and I WvW every night. It’s a blast.
That said. Isn’t it a bit odd that the game offers two paths from level 1-80? A PVP path and a PVE path (Even a crafting path). But then when you get to level 80, the “Endgame” is precised to narrow to just the one path of PVP/SPVP?
If WvW is the read end game, then I think we should all be more upset about the queues that we have to sit in during prime time every day.
Using a skill exactly how it is designed in the game is not an exploit. Mesmer portals were designed to allow anyone to go through them. If they did not want groups to go through them, they would have made it so groups could not go through them. I am sorry that it killed you, do better next time.
Just so you know, the people coming through the portal cannot render you either, I’ve never played an MMO that a large group of players showing up at once does not render right away, that is no reason to stop killing each other.
A group of players going through a gate (Assuming you own the gate you actually go through a portal) at the same time has the EXACT same rendering effect. I assume you would consider that an exploit too? If coordination is an exploit, then we might as well all be unguided, ungrouped and fending by our selves.
Your QQ is no more than QQ. As stated earlier in this thread- I am sorry that you died in PVP.
Adapt.
