Guild Wars 2

I have not been playing for a while, actually this new HOT DLC remained unnoticed by me. Now i am back again.
I am wondering if the game balance has changed a lot. I have a Ranger with all armor and accessories on Zerk (Power Precision Ferocity) and currently thinking of buying ascended accessories.
Can anyone tell me if this build still works normally in GW2? I mostly play PVE but spent 1-2 hr a day in PVP

Sorry in advance for my topic being kinda stupid but i am rather new here.
I recently obtained Citadel of Flame armor set for my ranget (all armor + long bow) with power+ precision and ferocity atributes. Is it a right choice for ranger? I am mostly involved in PVE but sometimes have fun in PVP as well.

The main point why i ask such a question is that i am about to by Ascended gear from Laurel Merchant and don’t want to buy anything which later become a stupid waste of money…
