I see a lot of posts about how the sound cuts out and then theres this long “alarm” sounding noise until you restart – that’s not my problem.
I upgraded my PC recently and ever since then I’ve been having problems in GW2 and only GW2. When there are big battles or a lot of people in an area, or sometimes just randomly, the sound will start to stutter. It almost sounds like it’s…on fire, if that makes sense. Like, imagine a recording of a fire going, and then the quality of the audio reduced significantly. It’s like that, and the game slows down, too.
I didn’t have this problem with my old setup. Low FPS, yes, but none of this weird sound, stutter or game slowing. I’ve tried messing with all sorts of settings and nothing seems to work.
If anyone is completely confused I’ll try to record it and upload it somewhere for you to hear and see it.
