So I have logged in today. I have not played since shortly after release.
My brother and I were looking for a game to play and both decided to give GW2 another spin. So far it’s been nothing but headaches.
First to be critical so far:
-When downloading updates I should be able to see how much I have left to download
-My brother tried to change his password and was asked to give one of his toons names… realistically though unless you’ve put significant hours in this game for it to be a part of your life you’re not going to know. Luckily he could guess his password though.
-There are no Australian servers (the reason I stopped playing shortly after release was ping issues)
-I cannot see ping on any servers whatsoever and should be able to.
-My server is full and it will cost 1800 gems (why not just USD?) to transfer which I think is about $25 AUD which I’m frankly not paying unless there is an aussie server.
I have no illusions that the devs will ever give us an oceanic server despite the fact that we have some of the worst internet in the world.
So my questions are as follows:
Are all the servers in America in the same place?
If I change servers do I lose dyes?
If I change servers do I lose my gold?
I have some skins unlocked on one of my toons which are pretty cool. Will I be able to use these skins for free on a new toon on a new server?
