Okay so basically I currently have a build on my ele that is D/S meant to be for DPS, with focus on Fire and Air attunement. However it’s like my character is made of glass, and quite understandably so because I focus on power, ferocity and precision for most or all my stats.
The problem is that I often play alone, and otherwise for the single player personal story/living world story content I just find myself dying far too often and easily. Even with kiting, at some point it is not foolproof, at least with the “bosses” of sorts.
Now some people play with friends and so they can do whatever because there is always someone else to tank and support so you can be a DPS if you want. But in my case I’m just solo.
Can anyone suggest to me or refer me to Elementalist builds that are good all around? Like…more survivability but also a good or reasonable damage output because I’m going to be playing primarily alone and so I don’t want to take 1 figurative hour to kill each thing by splashing water spells at them.
I am not sure what weapons to use, gear stats or stats in general to focus on, and I am looking to change builds from my current glass cannon DPS build, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Okay then, makes sense. Thanks!
After searching and reading I still don’t quite understand what it means that “Sigils do not stack with any tier of the same sigil type”
Now I have a greatsword that has two sigil slots. I wanted to equip Superior Sigil of Fire (50% chance on crit to trigger flame blast) and a Superior Sigil of Accuracy (+7% critical chance) on the same greatsword.
Will this work or would I not want to put these two sigils on the same greatsword? Or does the initial warning say that I can’t have two superior sigils in the same weapon?
Thanks to anyone who can clarify this for me.
I’ve been having the same problem, since like 2 days ago or so. I even posted a thread about it here but not many seemed to have seen it (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/Game-Client-Disconnected-From-Server-Often). It seemed to get better with the first update and then got back to being bad with the one that came after. (Don’t know if there were 2 updates, but today on 2 occasions GW2 client downloaded something).
Hope it gets fixed soon, this is pretty irritating.
As of yesterday and today, every time I play GW2, the game client disconnects from the server within 5-15 minutes. Up till yesterday, everything had worked fine for me and to my knowledge nothing in my computer or internet (esp because my computer still has internet, its only the gw2 client that disconnects ) has changed in that time.
“Game client has lost its connection to the server…[then something about waiting and restarting in a few minutes, but I’ve tried this and the problem persists]” (Code=7:11:3:191:101)
I am wondering – has this been happening to anyone?
Also, can anyone give me suggestions as to how I might be able to fix this problem? Thank you.
Hello,
Just wanted to make sure I understand this correctly just so that I know.
I was considering buying gems in order to buy a skin for at least one of my characters and just wanted to make sure I understood correctly the description. It says a one time use/application of the skin to replace any given piece of gear on a character.
Therefore, does this mean the character should be level 80 before one buys a skin for its armor – once it has what will likely be its final gear equipped because the skin only applies “once” as in once to whatever particular piece it’s already wearing when you do it? Or in other words there’s no point in getting skin till level 80 because if you’re below that, one is bound to get better items as one is leveling up and so the skin will not be any use if used earlier?
Thanks
Thank you both. And I will also be taking a look at your guide to read further.
Hello, my character is a human elementalist. I was seeking more experienced players’ advice or opinions – so far I’ve been spreading my trait points evenly between fire/earth/air attunements (I’m level 38). Is this viable? Am I or should I be focusing just on fire or just on air, etc? What do you focus on and why? I am not sure if I should shift my focus to just fire for instance or if I should continue to distribute my trait points more evenly… Thanks for your opinion.
