Engineers really need help in being competitive. There are those of us who do not like to play Scrapper, which seems to be where all the positive changes have happened lately. Do something to help RIFLE engineers as they are terribly underpowered compared to some of the other classes.
BlazeQ is exactly right. People are sick and tired of the blob fest and siege humping of Yak’s Bend. Their guild groups fight well, but their zerg sucks open field if they don’t have siege to hide behind. People are sick of their obnoxious behavior. Currently reset is just about an hour away and YB is still flipping everything they can. People are really sick of trying and this new point system only favors their play style and does nothing for the lower population servers matched to them.
The new system has done squat to change things. Servers who are gigantic and have massive coverage are still rolling over the smaller servers. And this server matching crap isn’t working either. Until they completely stop people from being able to transfer from one server to another period, WvW will remain broken.
Fighting JQ is nothing but a nightmare. They run nothing but a blob. I don’t think I’ve seen but one individual running solo and no small havocs. They do nothing but PPT. When did PPT become such a big deal?
As for SOS, they are just as bad as JQ and let’s throw MAG in as well. Blob, blob, blob…WvW has stopped being fun when we can’t even defend the things we have because of the blobs.
CD and HOD have both been great partners for SBI, but I’m thinking at this juncture, SBI needs matched up with HOD, CD and all 3 of CD’s matchups to even start to have a fair chance at staying afloat in this sea of crap Anet has force us into.
Goodbye CD! You guys have been a great partnership for SBI! You will truly be missed!
With the server pairings, initially it was great and SBI met a lot of great players from CD, but now it’s back to the same old crap. Stuck with Mag and SOS week after week after week. With this matchup, it has done nothing but driver players away as people are so sick of the blob fest that is Mag and their pity party they are having for SOS. Everything is still totally imbalanced. The balance experiment has totally failed and is completely ruining WvW for a good majority of players who had thought the new pairings might be a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I’ll interrupt and kill every time. WvW is not for dueling. Take that to OS which is what it was put there for.
You guys are killing your own game! Matching the same servers week after week when there is an obvious player imbalance is insane, yet you choose to do nothing about it. You are making people hate this game because you choose to ignore the problem rather than fix it.
Feedback on HoT Stress Test [merged]

I played for the full 2 hours on the evening stress test. Overall, I liked what I saw.
I noticed that a lot of the vine tendrils would just disappear when you were attacking them long before their health was gone and the event was not over.
I really liked the Revenant with the hammer. I typically play an engineer, so being able to keep some distance was nice. I did not care for the mace/axe combo, especially since you had to use it like that and not given the option of axe/mace.
The glider takes way too long to give you the option to deploy. If you are going to take ideas from other games, you should take the best part. I should be able to deploy my glider while on the ground and then it puts itself away if I don’t use it within x amount of seconds or it should give me the option to deploy as soon as I jump off something, then I can decide if I need it or not.
I had absolutely no issues with the FPS or lag during the 2 hours I played. After fighting the Wyvern and completing the other events, I just ran around seeing how high I could jump and how low I could go in the map.
The rifles we had to use for one of the events are sweet (general consensus of my guild) and would like to see this become available in the game as a permanent rifle to use. Perhaps upgrade The Predator to perform like this?
I found the play area a little small as I seem to recall the play area during the GW2 stress tests was larger, but it was acceptable to give me a small taste of what to expect and how things will work…to a degree.
Overall experience was nice and a pleasure to be included in the group of testers.
How did beta attendees get chosen?

RNG-esus looked down upon the flock of all the active GW2 accounts and then threw a massive amount of beta confetti into the air. Each piece of beta confetti landed on an account and those were the ones who got invites to play in the beta stress test. This made RNG-esus happy and he can’t wait to do it again for future beta tests. In his mind, he knows beta confetti is the best decision maker yet.
WvW isn’t dying out due to no new content. It’s dying out because people are getting tired of the unbalanced matches and getting their butts handed to them in a sling week after week. If there is nothing done to allow the servers to be matched up on a more balanced scale, WvW will continue to crumble and fall.
