Agreed. It’s no longer an option as far as I’m concerned. The very nature of dynamic events pretty much requires you to bring weapons that have reliable aoe damage in order to compete. P/P as single target? No thanks. You can’t always rely on utility skill aoe, but Ricochet got the job done and did it quite well. I loved pulling off mass interrupts and was looking forward to using that to apply torment when it was announced. Even started building a Sinister set for exactly that purpose.
yup, and tbh, the other weapons dont really fill that slot. the short bow is pretty lackluster tbh just as a whole which is another problem itself. the melee weapons are of course going to be aoe just by nature but not to the level of ricochet with pistols which will always hit a large area for a very different playstyle than daggers or swords
P/P thieves all over the forums are saying ‘Where is Ricochet?’, hoping that it was somehow omitted or is baseline now or anything.
P/P is subpar in pvp, even with Ricochet.
P/P (alone) is adequate in pve, but with Ricochet it’s fun and effective.SB, the only AOE weapon for thieves, is incredibly boring. And was reduced in effectiveness as well.
Please comment.
Thank you.
yeah, if anything, ricochet was definitely a very fun trait and useful in pve. this just seems to be kind of a random nerf for a weapon set that already was considered not as powerful as others by many.
i love p/p theif and ricochet is very important to it. why would it be removed? it was far more fun than all of these fairly boring new traits added as well. p/p already had many weak points, this now seems like they just don’t want p/p to be an option.
