oh… right oh… i just find it odd… that all the others are GPU…

and yeh its 360 watts… but as i say, i have ran my diagnostics alongside the game… and when it DOES crash… the MAX it has been (i will say again because its stupid to crash at these temps) is 33 C for GPU and 55 c for CPU… 55c is not even PUSHING it!!!

good job i’m saving up for a sapphire R9 270x + a 500-550 Corsair (just need to find the best deal for UK prices… buuut if i change anything there goes my warrenty… and i am not paying PC world to install them as they can charge up to £75 PLUS the package price of £240 for the GFX and PSU)

and the write up about my specs is… mid-range Gaming PC

But cheers

ok… to the guy who posted that screen shot… no… mine is a lot worse… the entire monitor can not be seen… and when it happens it flickers on and off a few second and then turns itself off… even though the pc is still on and there is still the power light on the monitor… i have pressed my print screen when this happens and every time i turn pc back on again and look at the screen shot it is perfect, aas if the issue never effected the game!!!

to the second guy, i don’t know if you are talking to me or the guy above, or even both of us but my pc was built (by ASUS, not me) and i baught it from PC world, it was on offer at £395 (down from £460) it has been 3 months since i bought it, and it was a demo modle in the shop for about 2 months before that… they had to do a factory reset for me to be able to buy it… i’m wondering if they did sometrhing wrong in the shop…. but if they did then ALL my games would have the same issue!

Edit: my PSU is 360V but it NEVER over heats neither does my GFX (33 c max for the GFX and 55 C for the PSU when my crash happens… when i run Far cry 3 my GFX will spike to 68 C on load up and then power back down to a steady 40… my PSU spikes to 79 C and then will go back down to around the 62 c mark… so it must DEFFO be an AMD/ATI compatability issue)

WHy the specs for this game on tons of sites DO NOT say this is beyond me, as i have cheked the written specs, i have also checkd system requirement labs… i have also asked my dad (who is a computer repair engineer… been doing it for 43 years) and every single thing says you can run this stupid game… go and buy it… SO TECH HEADS… come and give us a patch for this… PLEASE! or… even better… put on your own site (and others) if you have AMD/ATI then you can ** off!!! but then saying that… even the Nvidia users are starting to have problems with this game!!!

hi guys, i posted something similar earlier https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Radeon-r7-240-issues/first#post4817356

I also have AMD… i have checked EVERY forum and it says GW2 is NOT compatible with AMD/ATI chipsets buuuuut… every single blooming website says my pc is more than capable of handling this game… i can run Far cry 3 on medium (which is extreamly power hungry) i can run WoW on high, i can run Dragon age Origins (old game i know) on high… etc blah blah blah… but this game… wont even last more than an hour on LOW graphics!!! i have changed my resolution to a lower setting and each time i do, it works longer and longer… but it always… ALWAYS eventually gives me visual artifacts (100000000000s of rainbow lines and pixles)… my monitor then flikers on and off… everything is unresponsive and i have to do a hard reset… there is no log report in the events viewer i have ran GFX/CPU diagnostics while game is windowed and the max temp my GFX gets to before the above happens is 33 degrees C and my CPU gets to 55 C and my fans run at 60%… sound like a big compatability issue with AMD (as the forums suggest) but this is just rediculous

I have even ran 3Dmark and the ONLY thin that fails the benchmark is the final demo (the 4k one) so come on GW2 TECH HEADS… FIX THIS!!!! or better yet… why not give out a free Nvida card with ever purchase of this game?

Hello, i am using a radeon r 7 240 but my problem is this… i can play the game (everything says i meet min req’s) but with every graphical setting on LOW or LOL my GFX has a spaz after ~20 mins in game (what happens is… i get a mash up of rainbow lines and pixles on my monitor,,, the sound goes haywire and my desktop is completely UN-interactive… can’t open task manager or ANYTHING!!! and my monitor flickers on and off… my setup is as follows

asus quad core i5
8 gb ram
windows 8.1 (standard/home … w/e)
Radeon r7 240 2GB
mobo is asus m11ad
EDIT: i am using DVI monitor

i have every single driver updated… i have over clocked/underclocked and everything is the same (i though i was winning last night when i played for over 2 hours)

I have asked support but they only say to run the test prog they link me to, and then run speccy but i know for a fact i can handle this… however this is the ONLY GAME IT DOES IT TO (sorry caps… im frustrated)

games i can run very well (without issue at all):
far cry 3
World of Warcraft
League of Legends
DOTA2
Planet Explorers
Stranded Deep
Doubble Action Boogaloo
Farsky
Dragon Age Origins
Neverwinter (online)
Path of Exile
Eve online

and a lot more GFX intensive games… this game is older than my pc, please help thanks
