Another +1 for this. The 64-bit client crashes while the 32-bit client still works fine.

Hey all. So my friend helped me to put together a new computer. Some days the game runs fine and plays beautifully, but other days the fps is so low it is unplayable (5 fps at max settings/15 fps at minimal settings). I am really lost as to what the problem is. I have checked all my drivers and reinstalled everything multiple times.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Friend's account was permenantly closed?

Hey there. So I bought a copy of Guild Wars 2 during the previous sale to give to my friend. He enjoyed the game very much, but about a week ago his account was inexplicably suspended for the standard 72 hours. We waited it out, hoping for an answer, but after the initial 72 hours the account was again suspended for further investigation. Then today he received this email.

“Thank you for your patience while we investigated your issue.

After review of your account, our payment processor has determined that a recent purchase attempt that occurred on this account, or an account associated with this account, met certain criteria and displayed characteristics highly indicative of fraudulent purchase attempts or has committed fraudulent purchase attempts. As a result of these criteria or associations, this account has been permanently closed and is ineligible to be reopened for any reason.

Unfortunately, there is no further assistance or information we can provide you regarding this issue or account. Further replies may not receive a response."

So I have no idea what was found, but I can assure you that neither my friend nor I were trying to commit fraud. Is it possible that his account was hacked and that the hacker attempted something along these lines, but as for us, we did nothing wrong. And yet now my friend does not even have an account anymore because it has been permanently closed. Is there any we can get some further closure on this? Or some reparations?

I understand that I am not the account holder, but I was the account purchaser so I’m not sure what I can find out with that status. I don’t really want to have to buy my friend another account. Not only would I be out money, but he would lose the characters he has been playing and leveling for the past couple weeks. Any response will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
