I’m also very disappointed by this announcement.

This is yet another feature making GW2 far less enjoyable than GW1 in my opinion.
ANet is simply destroying communities that were built across continents in GW1.
As some people wrote about it already, implementing this feature is basically making things worse than what we have currently, i.e. free transfer to ANY server (both EU&NA) every 7 days.

It is especially critical to fix this bug (Yak’s Bend Arah as been inacessible too for days) because this is not just another event, it is a chain of events that leads to Arah which is also a personal story step. As long as Arah is inacessible, people cannot complete this step and finish the game. “Blocking progress”.
