We are looking for members to build up our guild. GH was founded by two friends and at the time we had no real desire to recruit a mass of people but having been in a couple of guilds which eventually just fell apart we decided that we are going to get some like minded folk together so we can enjoy the awesome content that GW2 is giving us.
We are two scottish guys Ex Warcrafters, Ex SWTOR, Ex Rift looking for some people who just like a chilled atmosphere, want to take part in some PVE, WvW and plenty of dungeon running. If that sounds like you then whisper me or Pete Noodle in game and we can invite you.
We are just starting our recruitment so the guild will be a touch empty whilst we add folk. Patience please
A shot in the dark here mate, and obviously not knowing much about technicalities but at a glace could you have a memory leak going on here?

Interestingly, after tonight’s update, I’m back in wvw with no lag at all.
I’m the same, after yesterdays update I’m back to playing with zero lag and normal load times. As an additional piece of information I contacted Sky Broadband directly and they ran a large selection of tests and ran through trouble shooting with me they also changed my broadband router profile to a gamer profile. That could be a red herring since I don’t think it was a Sky BB issue but an Anet one since the patch seems to have removed all my problems.

Necroshen, judging by your pingplotter, and mine, the problem isnt anet, its one of the exchanges in london.
Indeed, if you google the errant exchange “ae-0-11.edge4.london2.level3.net” you get a return of multiple pages of people complaining of lag and disconnects, not just in GW2, but also WoW, SW:TOR and diablo3.
My issues also started 3 days ago, saturday night, I’m on sky Broadband as well
Thanks for this information it helps a lot. It’s good to know that another sky user is having issues. If it’s a problem with the London server at least that’s better than it being an Anet issue. The questions is then should I (we) be contacting our ISP for information as to whats going on?

I agree cera, I logged in last night and it was fine for about 2 minutes but then I started to notice the input lag again and then within 5 minutes it was back to being unplayable exactly the same as my video.
I have opened a support ticket, attached all required reports, ping plotter maps and other information and I have a reply asking for further information and also asking me to turn off services in msconfig. I will post again later letting you know how I get on.
What frustrates me is that this problem wasn’t here literally 3 days ago so I really can’t be bothered jumping through hoops of turning things off and on since nothing has changed in that time. It’s also clear to see that the external servers feeding GW2 are showing packet loss and lots of it so I don’t think its my computer, however needs must so I’ll play ball.

I agree, most regions I enter either take a large amount of time to actually load or don’t load at all. I don’t know what’s going on, there’s a lot of people with threads about it though, certainly the disconnection issue although I’m not getting that so much as this in game lag which as you can see makes the game unplayable because I can’t actually do anything. It’s strange that guild chat works normally and after asking my guild members if they were having problems their responses vary but most have not had any issues except long loading screens.

The game has become unplayable but rather than complain I want to outline whats now happening to that perhaps people can compare with their own experiences and this may help Arenanet somehow. To make this easier I have attached a screenshot of the eventual connection error I get after the game lags out and also a video of what it’s like from the moment I log in until I give up through frustration.
So I have the following happening at the moment:
- Huge loading times on loading screens
- Lag in game play meaning that any attacks cast never make contact or just sit and flash.
- Despite the lag the guild chat operates at normal speed and I can chat away fine.
I have followed all the technical support articles from arenanet and nothing works and for the time being I have stopped playing since there seems to be no point as I cant actually do anything.

Hello there,
I’m on the underworld server and I’m on the hunt for a non-hardcore guild and was wondering if anyone was recruiting at the moment? I currently have a 2 man guild with my best mate but I think we’d both like to play with more like minded folk if we can.
I’ve played since beta and I’m level a level 80 Mesmer. Please let me know.
Ahh good someone started a screenshot thread. I was hoping someone had

Hiya,
I have been playing a Mesmer since GW2 was released and I must agree with many of the posts here in that during the lower levels it is a painful and thankless task trying to crawl up through quests and event without dying as much as you do. What you will find however is that your ability to survive and fight effectively is based on how you you play your profession.
When I got to the latter levels I must admit things changed greatly and I got a long stronger which shows a strange inconsistency with the profession that needs looked into. It shouldn’t take you getting to the later levels to feel less squishy but it IS a common complaint.
I use and continue to use a Great Sword and a Pistol/Sword setup, it works for me and that’s all that matters. If you understand how your clones work and when they spawn based on your abilities then you very rarely have to change from the Great Sword during a fight #GS2 is the bread and butter of fighting with a Great Sword as it creates a clone right next to the enemy, that said in my experience you have to keep it going (get your berserker up, use knock back where appropriate), don’t use #GS2 then just spam #GS1 hoping to kill things. Be smart with your clones and let them work for you.
Don’t forget to shattteeeerrrrrrrrrr
Hello there,
First off I apologise if this has already been mentioned or is in fact a game bug not localised to the Mesmer profession.
I have noticed quite regularly that during combat after the enemies have killed my illusions they will sometimes become invulnerable, return to their original position, get their health back and then require me to start trying to kill them all over again.
Originally I thought it was a space problem meaning I was too far away causing the reset but it seems to happen all the time if I am at any range (with the Great Sword).
Has anyone else experienced this with a Mesmer?
Your surprised? Imagine my reaction to this. I was totally shocked.
1680×1050 is my res mate.

Woops I only just found this thread after posting my own here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/FPS-System-Differences-Information/first#post668412 my apologise.
Hardware Spec:
CPU : Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE
Motherboard : Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77
RAM : 8GB
OS : Windows 7 64-bit
Game setting
Display Resolution: 1920 x1080
Graphic Settings: Ultra
FPS Value:
PVE : 65-70fps with vysnc
Cities : 65-70fps
PVP : 50-55fps
WvWvW : 40-50fps
GW2 build# latest
Hello everyone,
This post is not to complain about FPS but to show you the differences I experienced when I changed my system. This is not something people should have to do for the sake of a game but I was fortunate to be upgrading my PC anyway and thus here are my results. I hope this is helpful to someone out there.
So let me start by showing you my original system spec.
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
System Model: P5Q-PRO
Processor: Intel Quad Core Q6600
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE
The above spec saw me average only 20-21fps constantly. Changing the graphics settings did nothing as many people on here already know. In WvW it was naturally a lot lower and became a slideshow even if you turned the graphics settings right down.
I persisted with that for a long time but like I said I was in the process of changing and so here is my new system spec, I would like you to note that I didn’t change my Graphics Card nor did I use any ViruMVP (which my board can use) systems during play.
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
System Model: Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77
Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz
Memory: 8000MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE
With my new system build I am seeing a constant 72-75fps at maxed out graphics settings. I’m sure you will agree that is a considerable difference in terms of performance. Even standing in Lions Arch with a lot of people never saw the fps drop below 68fps.
With that in mind I have to say….bloomin heck was a beautiful game.
So I hope this helps someone, anyone or even just serves as information to ANet for reference.
Well if they change the Mesmer to anything like your suggestions Xocolatl.6890 I would stop playing a Mesmer I’m afraid. I love the Great Sword I think it suits us perfectly because it isn’t a “typical weapon” you would associate with our look and feel, but the fact that you don’t even hold it when your attacking but rather suspend it between your hands and fire rippling energy through it whilst it rotates blasting down your foes it’s just pure awesome. Not to mention throwing it and your phatasm blade you can blast straight out of the ground. The Great Sword is by far one of the best weapons we have. Think of it this way, your using it but your not really using it lol its your conduit for energy output to beat down the bad guys.
Hello everyone,
I lost my mask that’s right I think I either traded it or destroyed it but not intentionally. Does anyone know how I can get another one? This is the mask you choose and start with as a Mesmer. Any help appreciated
Totally agree and totally understand this, I was just curious about where my spec left me. The frame rate does drop incredibly low though which I would abnormal. Even in the normal world if you pan the camera left and right you get jittering and such like. I tend to avoid overclocking for that very reason, I have never done it and so don’t have the knowledge to do it effectively.
Hello,
Having read other threads and the stickies in this forum I am aware that there is ongoing work aimed at improving performance within the game on those machines that exceed the minimum spec required.
I am one of those people experiencing low frame rates (Max 21fps, min 12fps). The more going on the lower the frame rate naturally in WvW. Anyway my machine exceeds the minimum spec and no amount of changing settings in game or at the nvidia control panel helps.
I wanted to take the opportunity to list my spec and perhaps people with similar problems if not exactly the same problems could comment. Additionally this may prove useful to the developers in knowing what setups are having problems. If there is anything in the mean time that I’m not doing that I could be then I would love to hear about it :-)
