Bump. I have not found a definitive answer on this.

Is crit dmg added liniary or does it suffer from diminishing returns, such as crit chance?

Does it cap at some point or you can go beyond 100%?

I sit at 90% right now and have the option of going full divinity+food, so is it a real option or just a waste of gold?

Took me a day to research and costed me a few beers and a looong chat with my geek buddies, but we agree on prof cards: overpriced accuracy. that’s why my employee sold it: he got 4 crossfire systems which he linked and rendered over night. Back to GW2: Reflections seems to get people bad fps.

i5 3470 can’t be overclocked unless you have a motherboard with unblocker on it.

Also, 4.5 GHz is way overkill, 3.5GHz being more realistical, but true, the more the better, but it has diminishing returns.

EVO is an awesome cooler for it’s price!

hd6670 will be ok-ish for GW2, not even acceptable for other games.
hd7770 is cheap and competitive, compared to the previous one.

GW2 runs on CPU much more then on GPU. Stronger CPU and a cheap later on Graphic card should be ideal. My integrated GPU is however 10-30% stronger the 3470’s HD2500 integrated. So I got both strong CPU and cheap Graphic card in one item.

WvWvW and guild bounty get hard on any GPU, also, advanced graphic settings. But performance mode is very well made and forgiving.

You obviously bought those items to spend money. I agree on voodoo, 100%. But then it went like I said. Also, since I’ve had once SLI and one CrossFire setup, and tons of problems with unoptimised games, driver issues, random minor bugs and what-not, and had to learn a lot of EXTRA things just to run them fine, then with a hardware expert, I finally fine-tuned them; your post is filled with assumptions.

My 3570k hit 5.1GHz on Air, at -20 Degrees Celsius, without IHS removal… yet.

I overclock computers since Pentiums. I own a 7870 XT, mounted on my old 2500k i5 system. I don’t plan to get a video card on this PC until 8000’s.

You have not ran an AutoCAD or 3D render program on a professional card, I think. The difference is abysmal. I used one for ~8 months at work. My employer then sold it for 2000$ second hand (quite cheap).

P.S. I get low-spikes of ~5 fps from full zergs and bounties. I hit performance mode and get back on track, albeit slower. 95% of the game runs better then smooth though.

CPU upgrade in GW2>>>>>>>>>>>beats any graphic upgrade. I play with integrated graphics and can go wvwvw and guild bounty. Sometimes it spikes at low 5 fps, for a mere 1-2 second, when more then 40 players are in full skill casting and motion. But I quickly change to Performance mode and regain lost fps. Hands down, best low-graphics optimising I’ve seen ever.

CPUCPUCPUCPUCPUCPUCPUCPU. Or you can get a CPU upgrade, or maybe a better CPU. Overclocking CPU is nice, or a better CPU.

Overkill with CPU, but yeah, that’s the optimising screaming: CPU, and maybe a bit of GPU if you want full details.

How do I find my game barcode? The sqyare thingie with many dots or the strip of vertical lines that I can scan with my phone and add to authenticator?
I bought the game online, got the bill and all, but no barcode.
Where can I find that?

Mine is tons lower and still owns GW2, except for the BUGS in the game. The game has bugs.

Read it: Graphic BUG, Texture BUGS, collision BUGS, optimisation BUGS, etc.

But that’s NORMAL and we live with them. Have fun!

P.S. For the enthusiast trolls: SLI and CrossFire have been developped for cheap bussiness solutions, since a multi-gpu setup was cheaper then a professional video solution. Nowadays, Kepler architecture is a wonder; hence: multi-gpu setups are in decline.
I owned 2 multi-gpu setups and I know exactly what level of knowledge you need to have to juggle with them and use them at full extent: tons. They have never been aimed for rich kids playing counter-strike and bf3 with their school buddies, but they sure helped lowering the overall prices. Thanks, kids! Keep it up!

I triple checked all at my end: PC is in top shape, no anomalies anywhere, tried barebone processes, no internet issues of any kind (a guy from local provider came and checked, every bit of my internet connection is good, no conflicts, blocked adress or any other issues were detected).

It’s definitely the game.

I had some issues last night too, while it blocked me out of the Fractal dungeon, while my team mates were still inside; I left the dungeon to get the repair in LA and it immediately logged me out and patched the game. When I logged back in I had an error window.

That’s it?!?!
