Guild Wars 2

First I want to say well done, the game is progressing amazingly well, loving the living Story and anxious about the next big update. And the tiny hints towards it are golden.

All I wanted to request today were some updates to 2 features and I’ll be as brief as I can.

EVENTS

Solution:
Could you please allow an ‘option’ to show events that are active across the entire map, rather than have a player run around to try and find them. The option could be disabled by default but would allow for those of us working or with minimal time to play to experience allot more of the game.

Explination:

In other MMO’s a person stands in some station or hub or town and gets events by talking to NPC’s. A lame concept that ruins adventuring but does make all their content very accessible at the same time. No traveling around sifting through events you’ve done, hoping one is up , and trying to find a new one and praying its up. Since they can be more exciting than world completion and your only option once completion is done.

WEAPON SKINS

Solution:

Make new weapon skins that allow Daggers and other weapons to look like Swords, Axes, Hammers etc right side up like Jormags Needle for example.

Explination:

Inside the game there are skins like Scythes, Anchors, and Fishing Rods and Mugs of Ale, that stray from the weapons they are assigned to (Staffs, Focus items etc). Many people have been requesting new weapons, but until that could be done, you would notice a high amount of satisfaction just adding skins. I might ad this also existed in Guild Wars 1, where knives were upright and long bladed like “Shiro’s Blades” which were daggers but looked like swords and were among the most popular weapons released. Conclusion:

Players gonna hate on this post most likely, because thats just what they do, but these are proven methods that work and would allow completely optional improvements to the game without breaking anything and working with the system you already have, and the system that worked very well in Guild Wars 1.

Friend of mine cant log in, He has his account hacked… They removed him from our guild, they removed his friends, they have been logged into his account for hours, he cant do a password reset, because its apparently disabled at the moment… and he cant log in, he’s sitting at home losing his mind right now as I type, and no longer can keep calm enough to post on this himself…

Password Recovery Feature is “Unavailable at this time”, No one is responding to his support e-mails, he was hung up on when calling about it to the company since they don’t handle phone requests. What can a person do if they are hacked?. With no password recovery, the only tool a person has to try and settle it themselves is gone, and theres limited support..

Yea friend of mine has been experiencing the same, he was told to contact support by e-mail and give GW2 key information. Try doing that for now, not sure if they are doing normal links anymore.

What your saying is true, some seem unaffected but wont say why, but they do know something, a few friends of mine have been exploiting for tons of gain, leaving me out of the loop, they love the new high prices now inflicted on us because of this. And make tons of money selling rares because of it. Proof is in the market, just look at any exotic, or legendary, prices keep skyrocketing.

I personally am affected as well, 4 days of trying to get ONE lodestone drop at 140% magic find? in multiple locations. and ZERO rares in 2 days of farming in Cursed Shore? and the rest of Orr, nonono. They must not like having such high numbers of players.

My suspicion is a post that was put up, claiming that too many players achieved legendary items. Causing them to look into more options for new content like Ascension gear and Fractals ETC, when I find it I’ll link it.

So now they created the ascension system and nerfed legendary drops it seems to stop one problem caused by the annoying power gamers. And created even more rediculously priced endgame gear and pissed off players, I thought they were enjoying all the players they have. But fear of players leaving brought on by power groups who superfarm have caused them to start taking actions that will reduce their players for certain, some from high prices, others from frustration of endless grinding. All the things that Guild Wars 2 was known for putting an end to, coming right back…

Play with my wife daily in GW2 and she loves the game but rages almost every time she gets a heavy armor set and its more covered and plain than the last, while watching light and medium armor players run around in appealing costumes and get compliments constantly for their Blinkers, Skull Masks, Cleavage, and More, she picked norn and got the Eir stegalkin tatoo set and it cant be seen in any town clothes or armor sets Gems or Gold Based except the level 80 that she cant currently reach. I told her to put feedback in but she wont, she doesn’t believe it’ll change anything.

We both bought multiple premium armors from GW1, and her specifically she bought every single one of them just to mix and match and look different daily, she loves that stuff to pieces. But she cant seem to do it here.

Problem is she WANTS to buy premium armor, but theres nothing but the same exact covered platemail look everywhere. And she likes to swap looks on all her characters, fate would just have it that she chose a heavy armor character first, which is making her frustrated from the start, since she already invested up to level 70, and already cant continue playing due to a personal story glitch that wont let her advance.. so she’s quite frustrated with the game.

New MMO’s are releasing and others are going free. I love this game and want to play it with her here. I read the novels, and filled my Hall of Monuments best I could, please help my wife show off her Norn Tatoo’s and play dressup so I can focus on my legendary weapon in peace xD.
