actually i have been thinking about this for a while now, they could Use Fractals as a sort of (sorry for the WoW reference ) Caverns of time, you know they could have the instances they have done in the living story in there, even go as far as having some stuff from Gw1, like a fractal that your group and Rurik goes into AC trying to stop the char from invading only to realize it was a trap like GW1, stuff that can show a bit of lore from the old game

yeah when they originally talked about guesting a lot of us Believed it would include cross regions as we’ll but somewhere down the line that changed, i really think they would be helping their player base either allowing us to guest cross region or have a Home server on both

So far as I can see this wouldn’t work simply because it is much the same as having two accounts. In essence, because your account and character data is being stored in two places, you are thereby taking up the bandwidth of two players. Arena Net has pretty good servers, at least after a lot of work (just after release they were god awful), but if everyone was suddenly going to start having a multi-region account it would put a lot of unnecessary stress on their servers and cause problems. Honestly while I sympathize with you are your friend, this idea just isn’t justifiable.

I think the best thing to do would be to chip in with your buddy (since it seems that the EU account is just so he can play with you) and buy him a second account. More of a pain I agree, but in the end it is the quickest and best solution to your problem.

it would be no more stress on the servers than buying him a second account, every other MMO let’s you choose what server to play on, but after that you can change whenever GW2 restricts you, but they are 2 different data centers, it’s still silly not allowing you to either Guest to the other region or having two home servers

ahh well, it is not my problem really

so a thought popped into my head, would it not be possible for Anet to let us create one home server on EU and one on NA?, if i remember correctly the reason we had a home server was because of WvW and keeping it fair,

So what would be the problem with allowing people to have one Home server on both regions?,

i started thinking about this because one of my buddies from twitter just went and bought GW2 cause i convinced him, and he is going to try it out on an EU server, There is two problems to that 1 is ping, and second is their not being enough players for him to do stuff with (instances etc ) at his playing time.

but if we was able to create two home servers then when i am not playing he could play on his NA home server being around people etc and when i am on he could come to his EU home server.

This would sort out issues with people from different regions playing together and not have any effect on WvW and both regions do not play together.

Has Anet said anything on this or why it can’t happen?, cause i really don’t see how WvW would be an issue here.

P.S i know if my friend likes it he can delete his characters on the EU side and roll on the Na server but that still brings the Issue of us not being able to play together

they have said in many threads the will NOT be adding a cross server match making system, there is a looking for group system in your friend list, thought it is a bit hidden, using this i get invites right away

so its all due to supply and demand, obv Orichalcum and A Wood, is in high need at the moment, there are nodes in the 2 highest Orr maps and the highest level 80 Norn map, BUT the locations of these nodes change whenever there is a patch, so this might be why the prices influx quite abit, Example:

There has just been a patch and for the first day everyone is going around trying to find where the nodes have spawned, because of this not everyone is getting as many ore and the price will rise,

Now if there has not been a patch in 3 days most people now know where they can find the wood and ore and everyone is gathering it o the price will drop, and so it repeat’s next time they patch

(not to mention people exploiting by keep changing servers )

i have had this issue allot either when there is loads of people on screen on in WvW

what i found was since putting my Mixing buffer back to the middle and the Quality back to the middle it has stopped,

its funny it was not until a few days ago i new something was wrong , i thought everyone was getting it :P, then i mentions to my friends and they was like erm…no, and guys get your Diags up if you want this sorted :P

hmm i have a 7970 i52500 @ 4.9ghz and its running amazing for me apart from the lines which have been commented on in another thread

tbh i think it is your CPU that is letting you down,

Yay i have been having this problem since release i have a 7970 as well :P it only really happens in caves and instances etc

no they are not, all the gifts are Account bound?, or maybe Soul bound i am not sure but they are not tradible, also if you don’t want to put the effort into crafting then you really are not going to want to even try making a legendary, currently we don’t even know how even when we do, people are thinking you need 100% map completion gifts 10+ crafting 500 WvW Badges, 500 Dungeon badges 250 Orichalcum ore, ect ect and thats not even half

if you have a look around i am sure you will find the 74 song soundtrack, you can also buy it from Directsong, once you have this soundtrack you can follow the guide here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Customized_soundtrack to setting your own ingame soundtrack, i hope that helps

you know you can only have 10 mails form Player characters at a time ? try deleting some and they should come through
