Absolutely dislike the new fractal.

So, just did the new fractal for the first time tonight. First try was a level 75 where I joined a wiped boss on the first fight. Proceeded to wipe 3 more times and everybody left. The second attempt was in a level 25 fight and it was honestly pretty fun even if we failed at the last boss. I honestly loved most of the mechanics and didn’t mind the length of things.

But, the orb bouncing in the last fight really needs to have the mechanics looked at. In the group I was in some people just could not get the hang of it and the punishment for that was basically a instant wipe. We finished the last try getting him down to about 40%, but meh.

I’ll try again, but I don’t think I’ll worry about doing it on harder fractals for some time to come.

While I wouldn’t have bought one of these for the sake of themselves, I choose the torch skin and I am happy enough with it. Not that I’ll ever use it because I like others better.

Ignoring the skins the ultimate pack is still a deal if you wanted the other things, which I did.

Spending 4000 gems

The main thing I’d suggest if you haven’t already bought them in the past is a Copper-Fed and a set of whichever permanent tools that interest you. Past that I might look at a few bank slots, a few bag slots for your favorite character, shared slots, and material storage as priority buys. At least imo.

I personally already have all of those things so it left me looking at what I might want as a “luxury” buy. I’m thinking a second set of permanent tools (Unbound to take the place of my Watchwork) so that I can have a set to share around on whichever alt I’m 100%ing on map completion. Then with the rest I think I’m going to gift my daughter either a Copper-Fed or a mini pet depending on which she prefers. Finally, I think I might buy the Fox mini pet as it is adorable.

I really should buy more shared slots honestly though. I’ll see if I’m smart about it or not once the gems arrive.

I am still not sure I’d not go a step further and remove a lot of customization in favor of just having simple picks from a dropdown. I understand build templates are more or less the same thing, but it’d also massively simplify the spec/trait setups and remove a lot of things which can break.

Removing customization isn’t something I’d want at all personally. We already have the much to widespread belief in meta builds even for content that doesn’t need them. Why essentially enforce them even more?

Let’s just focus on what I think everybody would agree on and ask for a way to save builds/equipment at the very least.

I’ve thought about what I would love to see implemented into this game many times. This has basically topped the list every time. Give us the ability to save two specs/gear at the very least. More than that is just gravy.

It’s my favorite go to weapon while grouping up with others.

I’d love to use it solo more but it’s by far weaker than my dual pistols unless things fall in line perfectly, and the misses… The misses…

Thanks for the answer Jon. Another Engineer here who would love to see this fixed as soon as possible so that switching to my Flamethrower on the fly is less bothersome.
