Right, well I think that the idea of "feasibility’ is rather what one assumes to be “proper” but not what can ACTUALLY be done. Everyone feels like things must remain a certain way but these changes can in-fact take place wheather or not it dated back to gw1 or never existed at all. It’s really up to the people that make the game, but without the above suggestions, I honestly feel like I & my 34 friends who play might quit. The gameplay is just dull in this manner. It’s the same stuff no matter where you are in game & that gets really old fast. There’s no fantasy, no escape exploration..It’s just the same thing everywhere you go. It’s only fun for some of the time. I don’t know anymore.
I think the D&D/ Tolkiens / or Tera elves depict the example I am trying to make very well. They do not look like the Sylvari which are just repulsive for my taste. I don’t think adjusting the gamma settings is what I mean when I talk about differences in dark/light elements. I mean the game as a whole. The castle would totally help what I am saying! I don’t have time to make 160 gold a week. I am quite literally talking about spending reall money on the game. I just think I am incredibly unhappy with these designs here.!
The Sylvari are not really very elf like and they’re not really classic elf anyways.. They’re more like tree people. Google Elves and you’ll see what I am saying. I don’t disagree with you, but I think that classic elves with Sylvari would be more enjoyable because to me Sylvari are more disgraceful to what an Elvan class should look like.
The game has fanatasy like units, yes like you’re saying above, and I understand that — but I think the CLASSIC elements are still missing,. You are right, these aspects are present and are great, but they’re not classic (except for dragons I supposed). But I meant that the gameplay is more realistic. It’s not very mystical or suspensful. You know that as soon as you move to the next area, it’s just another forest with trees. There’s no secret dark paths in the wood or classic fantasy elements. At least the “Darker” Aspects are missing in that aspect --- It’s just less there. I am not saying that the game is horrible, but I am saying that these aspects are enjoyable and are missing here. I don’t mean “lisa Frank” like fantasy, I mean more like what Tera endures. But Tera lacks A LOT compared to Gw2, I am talking more about design than anything else.
I truly believe no mmo is complete without an Elf Race. But that’s just me.
Third, The following link explains a lot: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/No-Dark-Environments-in-Guild-Wars-2
This player talks and discusses how the elements of GW2 are just not dark enough, and boy is he truly correct. The game does not have elements of dark/light in it very clearly displayed. I Think it attempts to do that, espeically with Ruins of Orr, but it’s just not right. It’s not dark enough. The game is seriouslylacking in this aspect. Players don’t want a medium element to play in. They want areas that depict angelic brightness, and areas that depict demonic hellzones. Again, Tera has dominated Gw2 in this aspect again. This is really frustrating for me because I am a visual player. You make these beauitful places and they’re AMAZING, but nothing is accessble. Look at Lonar’s pass, you added this beautiful structure on a mountain, but you can barely walk around in the place, and everywhere you can walk around, you have crowded with NPCs…not going to take my guild there now..no point.. -__- This is another big problem.

Fourth, The last argument is about the dang Gem Store. You have made it so that the MINIMUM purchase amount is 800 gems —> which is $10. That’s great for all the people that have 10 bucks to drop a month on the game, but what about people who only wish to purchase 600 gems, or 400 gems? Come on now..It’s just unresonable. If I was able to purchase 400 gems a week, I would end up giving Gw2 a lot more money, because sometimes it’s that extra $5 that cannot be made into purchase, and gw2 loses money on me. Please fix the above problems. The game is amazing, but I will never get the full appreciation for this game when you, as creators, remove the most classic elements of mmo’s that make them so attractive in the first place. When I purchased the game, I never though these classic elements would be missing. I highly recommend you guys widen your horizons and make the game more enjoyable for the people who are sick of average modern looking structures all over the game. I’d rather be fighting count dracula in a spooky dungeon, than running through queensdale fighting bats -_- it’s just boring and makes the game seem dull. Please fix these things, and consider these options. Also check out how Tera designs their locations. I really feel that GW2 Dominates Tera in gameplay, but lacks design. Thanks all! Happy gwing!
Hopefully This suggestion is placed in the correct place on the Gw2 forum – But I have some things to address — So IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG place on the forum, please move it to the “suggestion” forum, I’d rather not rewrite it:
So, First..I think some things need to be changed. I love what you have done with the game and that’s wonderful, but still half of thte map is not accessible so if you are constructing things – there are several elements that I feel are missing, and this has seriously had an impact on myself & many other players.

First, Why is this one of the first RPGs that you removed Elves from the race list? Elf races are one of the most classic races in any mmo, and I think without them, a game is seriously deficient. All the other classes in gw2 are great..but elves are removed ? I really recommend that you place these back into the game….so many people have brought this to my attention. There’s nothing like having a classic elf character & a place that represents them.

Second, other than Dragons and Zombies, I think gw2, in comparrison to other mmos has lost its touch in the sense of fantasy. There’s no big ACCESSIBLE castles with witches, demons, ghosts, and vampires. No giant mushrooms, or fairies, or secret pats in the woods..[I use the term accessible, because although you have beautiful castles, the actual play space is INCREDIBLY small and tiny]. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS of an RPG MMO, the game is supposed to be an escape from reality, and I don’t feel that when I play. I feel that this aspect of the game is almost completely gone, and here is a place where Tera, World Of Warcraft, Flyff, and other high ranking RPG MMOs have you beat. DONT get me wrong, I love gw2, I think it’s the best MMO on the interent, but this element is probably the most essential for my gameplay experience and I don’t see that at all in the game. I see the game being a little too realistic for my liking in an mmo. In order to have a great mmo, you have to have new stuff like what you do have (asura land, and the tree places, and the canyons) but you CAN’T ignore the fantasy classic aspects, wizards, magic, darkness, demons, angels, spirits, and such…This has been something that almost everyone I talked to about GW2 is most upset about .When is it going to change?
I seriously suggest you create towns that represent certain elements, like Elf Towns, Christmas Towns, Halloween towns, etc….That are accessible YEAR round. People in guilds need places to go to like that.. Tera has a BEAUTIFULLY crafted haunted house/castle that you can access underground, above ground, ground level…It’s one of the most breathtaking aspects of any game I have ever seen. I truly wish Guild wars could even touch upon what Tera Rising placed into their game. Tera Dominates Gw2 in fantasy, and this to me makes me the most upset. I hope that you guys take the remaining places on the map and add fantasy Or the game will forever be incomplete in my eyes and most of the people I’ve talked to.
Hey all, I just have a quick question! I am searching for cool places in gw2 to hangout—> I wanted to find a place that’s high in the sky (has great height advantages)..and I was looking for perhaps a castle in a dense forest..I was not sure if GW2 had this cause the map is so big! Or At least a giant castle! I am obv. trying to avoid the WvW castle, cause that’s not really a place to hangout, but I mean Something like that! I need to find dense forests and I can’t seem to find any, I’ve explored most of the forests below divinity’s reach..Castles are too small..Anything?
