The “Crafting experience” towards 400/500 crafting isn’t being affected. However! When you craft something you get an equal amount of “normal” exp which is being doubled.
In other words: It takes the same amount of time to reach for example lvl 100 in crafting but instead of gaining X exp you get 2*X exp.
