Good morning all….

I am just coming back and decided to try to remember HOW to play I was going to start a mesmer from level 1 and look for an “easy” guide to get the feel back on how to play…

I found this website off of a suggestion:
http://qtfy.eu/build/Mesmer

and was looking at the “Condition Mesmer” since its one of the easier rotations – However I have no idea how to spend my hero points as i’m leveling… Could someone provide a generic outline on how they would spend hero points first? (do I max out Illusions? go to a specific point then swap over to signets? etc)

Thank you guys.

Thanks all… I guess what Im really confused about is the order to take particular skills.. I will go to a profession forum and try to go from there!

Thank you again

Afternoon all… I’m returning player and very confused with skill choices… I have 3-4 80’s, but just dont seem to remember much about the game, I was going to level a character from 1, and started a revenant, but seem so weak! I figured I may have messed up skill choices…

Just for examples, does anyone know of a character guide that says what skills to buy at what levels as you are leveling up? I would just like to follow a more experienced “path” to see how to play again…

Hope that makes sense.

I know I did not ask a specific class, any detailed guide would proved a great insight, no matter the class, I think.

Thanks!

Sky, could you post a couple examples? I’m going to try the one mentioned in this thread, Healing spring + Longbow shot….

Bears are very tanky – they take dmg well, they can regenerate their health, and they hold agro decently, especially with the extra stats from beast mastery. I prefer the Arctodus for the F2 bleed ability. Finally, your “Healing Spring” places a water field at your feet, which your long bow can then use as a finisher to transfer the regen effect across the distance to your pet.

Thanks, I need to find a good link to the combos, I have never used them (at least on purpose)

Thanks again!

Thank you both for the information! I would like to dabble a bit in WVW as im leveling for something different, so the long bow appeals to me – If I did focus on my pets and want slower, more powerful hits I would do beast mastery + (Whatever the power one is), right?

If I did put some focus on my pets, are they decent tanks if I use a beefy pet like a bear? would I be able to stand there and shoot away (I was never much good at kiting)

Thanks again

So I love the shortbow, but would like to try the longbow – I have no idea what I will use as a secondary weapon – is there any really super effective combo out there? When leveling up, what are the best traits to go? I was thinking of the +Crit line, but do we need to spec in our pets to have them be effective?

Thanks, I see lots of guides on here, but they are assuming we are already 80, I’m 13 right now, so I needed something a little “Less”… If I have just missed the discussion, I’m sorry and a link would be appreciated.

Thank you!
