I usually avoid the forums for being to toxic and I wouldn’t expect a follow up to an ingame bg report in a forum without any notification to the ones that reported the bug. So it’s only because of a friend that I even noticed this thread.

I honestly don’t know if this has been said before, there are to many replies to keep track…
Anyway, I really like the Megaserver-idea and the idea of a fixed boss rotation, but I think the way it will be implemented could be improved. Currently players with a short but constant online time will be limited to do certain world bosses while beeing locked out of others.
This mainly applies to the Standard World Events and Mega-Organized Events as the other events are on a much shorter rotation

To give an example:
A player (assuming CET) who comes online between 19:00 and 19:30 and leaves the game at about 22:00 can do Tequatl, Golem Mark II, the Worm, the Claw,Tabitha, Megadestroyer and maybe the TDB-World-Boss but can’t do the Shatterer, Ulgoth or the Karka Queen.

I think there’s a simple solution for this: Introduce a mismatch between the length of the rotation and the length of the day. As the length of a day is pretty much fixed this would leave the length of the rotation to change. Adding 30 Minutes (or one Boss-Event) to the rotation would make the rotation itself rotate by one slot per day. Adding two would make it rotate by to slots a day. As for the Mega-Organized Events, these could to “rotate their rotation”. You’d still have to be online during “prime time” to do these but you wouldn’t have to be online for the full prime time to get a chance at all of these.

pro:
- more diversity in events for people with fixed schedules

cons:
- only relevant for more casual players
- mildly confusing
- still “not fair” but you can’t please everyone all the time and you can’t fool mom (based loosely on Captain Penny’s Rule)

tl;dr:
to align rotation length with day length leads to lock-in/lock-out situation;
solution: don’t align

Selecting 8th char slot at startup unreliable

This issue arises mostly at startup but sometimes even when switching characters during play.
When I start the game (and the computer is still heavily accessing the hard drive) and select the character in the 8th slot, the name, class, location and the other information is displayed immediately while the main window remains black for some time (a couple of seconds). When I choose play during this time, the character from the 1st slot is loaded and logged in instead of the selected one in the 8th slot.
This happens too when switching characters in play but not as often and not as often with characters that were logged in recently (about one hour I think).
I’d guess that this character slot isn’t immediately preloaded as it isn’t displayed along with the first 7 slot but only accessible by scrolling to the right.

Add an option to ignore Fireworks etc.

Especially during larger scale fights these add to the overall confusion and add stain to the video card reducing the framerate even further.
I don’t want to reduce the fun of anyone who likes to use these but I’d like an option to ignore these very much. This should block both, audio and video effects from these “fun” gimmics for those deciding to block these.
Mad King Thorn telling jokes during a coordination in Teamspeak is just plain annoying. This might be fun during Helloween but it’s not during the rest of the year.

Fixed by activating “Best Texture Filtering”.

Black Lion Trading Window Font unreadable

Since the August update the font in the Black Lion Trading Window as unreadable. Especially numbers are hard tu read or guess. This seems to be an issue with fint scaling without using Anti-Aliasing (which is set to FXAA in my options).
I noticed this occationally before but since the update it’s persistent.

It seems to me (while experiencing the same issue), that I see the Guild Missions for that guild on my home world (there aren’t any) as I can see the guilds infuence and merrits for my homeworld and not for the one I’m guesting on.
This is pretty frustrating since I can’t see the targets for the bounty hunt or the location for the sprint on my own and have to wait until someone posts them into the guild chat…
