Either I win or lose in PvP (unranked) it appears that I get the same error when trying to go from the end screen to character selection. If I go back to the place I was at before entering the match (PvE or Heart of the Mists) I have no issues, same if I win it works fine going directly to the guild hall.

Apparently I can’t do anymore PvP now as it still appears that I’m in the match I got stuck in, even though I was offline for long to afterwards not being sent back to the map each time I tried to leave it. Instead each time I arrive in a map it now also says that the game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server.

I got the same issue with my account, in Temple of the Silent Storm. Bug reported in-game too, but no matter which character I use or if I log off and on again I still get sent back to that PvP map even though the match ended already.

For at least the last 3 hours today, 1st February 2014, and every now and then for a couple of hours since sometime in December.

In-game areas where I experienced lag today:
Temple of the Silent Storm, Heart of the Mists and The Silverwastes, but between those I was able to complete two dungeon paths without getting any lag issues and WvW seemed to work fine too.

Description of the lag:

  • Skill lag, the skills are just blinking until I either get disconnected after a couple of minutes or the game client suddenly comes “in sync” with the server(s) again. If I’m not disconnected it might work fine for some minutes before it happens again.
  • While I’m having the skill lag it seems like I’m able to move around and it seems like other players, NPCs and enemies are moving around as usual, but suddenly I might take damage or my game client might realize that I’m not in the same spot as the server says I’m at. Or the server might say I’m under attack a minute before the game client realizes that.
  • The name of a player might not appear as it should when right-clicking on that player to send a whisper, but typing the player’s name and sending the message might cause it to get sent within some minutes if I don’t get disconnected first.
  • Sometimes it seems like an issue with connection to the login servers, which has times several caused an error message about the guild unifying chapters (if I remember it right) and other times with even seeing who is in the guild I’m representing.
