That’s the crux of this, isn’kitten you don’t want to so no one else shoud?. I don’t care what the game was billed at, if people don’t want to play and just stand around the main towns chatting and use it as a social network…they have the right.

Anet added all game mechanics and people make their own enjoyment out of what’s offered. So far I have read all reasons, arguments and discussions about why it shouldn’t be, however no one has explained why their way of playing should be forced on other people.

Also I see it’s only a very small number of people making the arguments, and I am deeply gratified to see that the gaming company that I have invested my own hard earned money and time has no intention of denying players their freedom of rights and choices. Thank you!

So all of this is just rage against freedom of choice, please go ahead, as long as nothing affects my game or how I choose to play, for me thats all that matters.

By selling your drops?, by flipping. How long have you been playing and exactly what are you doing when playing. I play extremely casually yet I can make enough money in this game.

Crafting is how I do it, my Husband does the champion trains and sells the loot, how are you not getting loot?

maybe your game is broken I make plenty just playing the game and crafting, the only thing I use the TP for is to purchase items or components where people WILLINGLY sell them cheaper than I can craft them.

Again elucidate those who have a problem with how others play their game, what gives you the right to control them?

If you want a Legendary you can save for one in a couple of years with 3 or 4 gold earned a day. However what I am seeing here is people whining and moaning because they can’t get things quicker, and they suspect other people can?

Man you must have ulcers the size of small countries in real life if that strikes you as unfair, what do you do when someone drives past you in a nice car, throw yourself on the ground and tantrum?

I also love this game, I play with my Husband as a duo and we have the best time!. Hands down this is the most engaging, beautiful and freindly communities that I have come accross in 12 years of playing MMO’s when I started in Dark Age of Camelot.

Some tips, find a good guild, and a server where you are comfortable with the community. Listien to advice but don’t let it rule your playstyle, there is room enough for us all. Some builds work because it’s you using them, they don’t have to make sense to anyone else.

Take frequent breaks to get outside and put the controller down, think of the game as an amble through beautiful terrain, not a sprint. Most dissatisfaction comes from people who have experienced burn out.

And just take it for what it is, one of the best MMO’s out there at the moment, a place to escape to.

We like to PVP, we have a good group of people willing to help with builds, time and advice who will run with you in matches and WvW

We love doing dungeons, and no one will ever be booted for not being 80, thats not how we roll.

We like freedom of speech, dependent on you not abusing someone in a bigoted or prejudiced way, we don’t like that. If you are someone who feels you need to dicatate the flow of our crazy guild chat…then maybe you need not apply.

We welcome all comers, diplomats, the outspoken, the mad, the crazy, the down right strange… all we ask is that you aren’t a kitten, we are here to make friends!, and we understand friends come in all shapes, sizes and flavour…

Crafting makes me all my money, however thats just my opinion and it’s done through researching markets, crafting the components I can’t buy cheaper, or putting buy orders for things that are being sold cheaper than it costs me to make them.

The markets I am finding most viable are very unexpected, however it depends how much and how fast you want to make money. I make consitent gold daily, with little to no loss. However I will never be a big player because I don’t want to have to park my harris at the TP all day.

However with a bit of research, the right crafts, and some common sense, it’s not a complete cop out.

The problem with this is it’s not a debate or argument, because the people who are against the TP as it is have no correct information or evidence to support their theories. They have the right to sell their items at whatever price they like, the TP gives THEM the freedom to trade how THEY wish.

However thats not good enough, what this boils down to, their objections, their ideas is that they aren’t happy in that, they wish to dictate, or force the game to dictate to other players how THEY play. Which I am sorry, whatever way you look at that it’s wrong. I am sorry but none of you have the right to force your ideas and opinions on others to make them play the game how you want. Please I am not saying you have to play the game the way I like, can you do everyone else the same courtesy.

Case in point the post above is 100% supposition and opinion, there is no fact there. The economy for one is not runined. People who use the TP are not only people with a lot of capital, also show me proof please that only flippers can afford anything worthwhile.

Whats more I deny anyone to say they never use the TP so what you basically are saying all those that feel morality is on your side, you pay over the odds to craft items to be fair to the player base. Well if that makes you feel warm and fuzzy when you go to bed, well who am I to disabuse you of this notion.

Well I can tell you, you probably think I flip, but I make my money crafting. At considerable effort I raised all my crafting skills to 400, I make stock daily and I sell it one at a time on the TP, I use it in effect like my shop or consignment merchant.

However I don’t craft anything if I can get it cheaper on a buy order, thats just good economic sense. I don’t force people to sell at that price, they choose to play how they want. All of you probably never sell to buy orders and thats your choice. However you don’t agree with other people filling buy orders, so it needs to change. Really, please explain to me what gives you the right to make others dance to your tune….

Really I’d have more respect for you if you rallied people via compelling arguments, and the sharing of your moral opinion and thoughts to enmasse refuse to use the buy it now feature. However you aren’t going to do that now are you, you just want to force your opinions down people’s throats and have the game dictate your philosophy to the masses. Where is the fairness or moral high ground there.

Why are the people who are good at playing the TP more deserving than the people who are good at running dungeons?

So by your own logic, I myself who am no good at playing dungeons, and have no chance of getting those items of armour, have the right to ask Anet to take dungeons out of the game, so others can’t use them.

That seems flawed to me, I accept I am a not very good player, I am sad I can’t get the armour, but I don’t begrudge people who are good at it getting their rewards. I have the choice it’s not something I couldn’t do, I just don’t enjoy it, or more importantly I have a physical disability where my hands shake making me quite a weak member of a team that needs tactics and quick reflexes. Plus I tend to get stressed when under pressure which makes the shakes worse.

However thats the point I accept my limitations and play to my skills in game to have fun. Anet coded the game as is, not the players, in all areas PVP, WVW, PVE, Dungeons and Fractals you’ll find areas of the game that some people just aren’t good at. That’s fine…

What is not fine is to take the area you don’t like, don’t agree with, or don’t enjoy and try and stop it for other people, what is the logical reason for doing that. More importantly where would it stop. I feel for Anet here because as soon as they kowtow to this form of game moulding it will never stop.

Thats a valid opinion, however is anything stopping you from doing the same thing, if not it comes back to the same argument.

It’s a valid way of playing the game, Anet coded it in, just because you don’t enjoy it, I don’t enjoy farming but I don’t think I should deny anyone else the chance of doing it. Do they make profit farming, certainly. However unless the game denies me the same choices I don’t really see any problem with how anyone chooses to use their time to play.

Why is it that people think they have a right to dictate how someone else plays the game or what they get enjoyment from?

All I can hear through this argument is that people should play the game how they feel they should have fun, which is laughable…how big is your ego really. You know best?, for someone else…

I never dictate how someone else plays, I find my own fun, and I use the game mechanics I have been provided to give ME, the PAYING player the best possible experience. If thats focusing on a mini game so be it. I don’t care. It’s their game, their time which to them may be of substantial worth. I am not going to believe that I have the right to take away anyones personal freedom, their human rights due to my overblown egotistical opinion.

Do things annoy me in this game, sure, I’m human thats life. However as soon as I start thinking my opinion, my choices, my way of playing is the way and no one else should be allowed to do what they want. Hey!!. That’s when it’s time to put the game controller down and you know, re-connect with the real world.

As for the game mechanic mentioned, no one puts a gun to either parties head. If no one sold to the buy orders there would be no reason to flip in the first place. I understand you don’t like it, so don’t ever sell less than the going rate, simple. However don’t think you have any other sway over other players, you choose, they choose thats how life is.

As soon as you start feeling that this shouldn’t be they way it is, look to History and see how that line of thinking turned out real good for the people who believed they should have the rights over others.

I purchased it with gems, I don’t regret it at all, as it makes crafting and selling much more convenient, plus from an RP point of view and airship is kind of cool, the views are nice too.

If you want convenience and like to use your gems to open up account options it’s a good buy. As for purists who think you should only obtain things via in game means, I play casually, I work hard. I don’t wish my free time to become another career so I use the resources from in effect actually “playing” my life, which is money.

Thought I better alert you guys that something has gone awry with Lunts event, it’s just cycling the killing dredge part without gathering the flowers for a fire, roughly every five minutes.

The ouzes aren’t clearing either so it’s quite easy to abuse as the dredge are very much out numbered.

I will just make sure I put Necesseties the bear on passive as I found to my suprise in this game you gain experience just from your pet kills, unlike WOW where it demmands you as a charcater at least gets a hit in.

When he’s on guard he is a little rabid it seems grin

I have been a long time player of MMO’s since DAOC, I’m not a great player, I am a 37 year old Mum and play merely for fun and enjoyment rather than being the best.

I endevour to always make sure my passwords are different and the maximun amount of characters you can use for every game, and I scan my PC regularly.

However due to being a Mummy of a very small child (3 years) with Autism, my playtime is often sporadic and when Jack demmands I pretty much have to drop what I am doing.

After reading the amounts of people “supposedly” being banned for going afk this makes me worried. As of now I am trying to log out to charcater select everytime Jack needs me, however sometimes I regret I just don’t have the time.

I do have a razer naga mouse with some assigned number keys, however I find that it’s more an ornament as I never use the keyboard I tend to move using arrow keys and mouse click the abilities. Yes archaic I know.

I am just worried I may get banned for standing still somewhere and not answering pm’s as I am legitimatley away from the PC on a Mommy errand. I repeat I am never fighting I would be merely stood. Even in the middle of an event, it just means I am probably going to die.

If anyone could put my mind at rest I would very much appreciate it!
