Guild Wars 2

I was fighting the ancient karka, hit Judge’s intervention, and ended up embedded in one of the explosive gas things. I couldn’t move, so i ported back to captain’s retreat (happened also at the tree, and I should have pulled it off my bar then). the game wouldn’t load, so then I had to log out, and ended up in a different server that had completed the event. So two pretty boring hours of my life are now gone (endless waves of “reinforcements”…ugh)…and since i’m not 80, i can’t go back in to do it for another 20 levels.

Our guild has played through WoW, SWTOR, and now GW2, with each of us coming and going. We are looking for people that want to have a good time playing – whether that’s through dungeons, world bosses, or PvP of any type. There’s no schedule, no demand – if five people are on and want to run something, more power to them. We all have day jobs, most of us have kids, and all of us understand that sometimes life gets in the way or changes your plans mid-run. Some of us have become RL friends through these games, and we want to continue to find people like that. A guild without drama can be any size, and thus bringing needless drama will not be tolerated.

I am looking to set up a website soon, and if there’s interest will add a facebook and/or twitter page to keep updates coming.

For those who care about physical location, we’re in the Chicago Suburbs for the most part, with branches elsewhere.

Quick Notes: We’re super small now, RL friends looking to branch out and find like-minded adults. We all have kids, jobs, and like to spend our free time having fun with the game. We have a Vent server and offer a lot of help to new players.

did this last night – we had several people come up and do it in a row. fixed, or fluke?

If I recall correctly, you have to go into an instanced room for that one, up the stairs on the map. It’s not a bug, you’re just in the wrong spot. Hope that helps, and good luck on 100%!

I’ve tried it on two different characters, overflow and true server (northern shiverpeaks), and had no luck with the skill challenge. the 99% completion is killing me. They seem to be prioritizing story quests right now, but I hope this makes the list soon.

I’ve got to say that even though the OP was “disappointed” by your responses, I want to thank everyone that has taken the time to give a quality answer here. This has only strengthened the view that this game is about community and story instead of the get-gear-to-run-a-better-dungeon-to-get-different-gear “treadmill” that ituhata mentioned. I’m loving it, and I’m excited to know that at 80 I won’t hit that “nothing to do but weekly raid” wall. Thanks again, folks!
