Hello,
I have played some keg brawl, well, alot, and I find it really fun, except when I lose :P
Thing is, I see alot of potential in this mini-game. I hear talk of E-sports for spvp, but I think Keg Brawl is a much better contender for an E-Sport. Here are the enhancements that I think could make this great.
- Allow Pre-Made Teams – You can’t have a sport if you don’t have a team, this is for sure.
- Allow Parties to have names – Not just for Keg Brawl, I think this would be a nice little thing to add in the game. In my guild, we use a wvw strike team to flip camps while the main zerg is attacking, we call it our Strike Force Five. With this ability, there could be Keg Brawl teams, such as The Asurian Chemists or The Norn Keggers, who knows!
- Have an assist option where one sees the whole playing field – Well, might as well act as if it’s a sport right ?
- Tournaments, Rewards – I’m not saying this is mandatory, but why not offer some goodies to teams ? Nothing too big, don’t want players feeling like they need to keg brawl, something like Boosters or Customizable Keg Brawl Team Jerseys
Well, that’s my suggestion. Thank you for taking it into consideration, and thanks for a great game
This also looks a bit like the story missions at low levels… you run with Rytlock, Eir, Caithe or Warmaster Forgal for crap missions, they die so easily… But they should be these powerful characters renowned through the land for almost killing a dragon… what the hell! They should be standing behind giving you orders or judging your abilities, then faceroll the low level mobs when kitten gets rough with those special skills that makes them so renowned!
Aye, we’ve been trying to decipher why they spawn, we thought it could be because there was loot on a mob that despawned, but still some chests appear before this happens. I hate this system, some people don’t know about it and I’m pretty sure we might be losing some items because we don’t see the chests sometimes.
I don’t really get this point of view that we should be as wimpy as a lvl 15 in a lvl 15 zone. I’m a lvl 80 with full blown exotic armor, exotic gems, exotic weapons of rare magic in this world… why would I want to have difficulty killing a lvl 6 bandit. It’s fine that in higher lvl zones, which should be my zones, it’s difficult, but going into level 1-40 zones, I do expect to faceroll enemies. If I don’t, where is the progression of power in my character ?
I for one like it, it fits with my character’s looks that I own low lvl monsters, and it’s relaxing playing those zones. And there are still some champions or packs of event bosses in some zones that can give you a hard time, so I think it’s well balanced out. When I want more challenge, I run dungeons, do Orr zones, fractals, wvw, the end-game stuff.
Hello,
I have recently made a norn guardian with my wife. She is very much enjoying the class for it’s great abilities, I am enjoying myself by providing her with a bit of roleplay entertainment as we go along. As I am a norn, I drink. Lots. This has led me to notice quite a lack in Ale.
In alot of Norn regions (possibly others too, but Norns would be the priority at least for the lore!) there are random taverns. Most have a brewmaster, some passed out patrons, sometimes even a bartender merchant BUT.. no Alcohol. No Beer, no Ale, no Mead, no Lager, no Whiskey! How can this be ? All the Norn taverns or even houses should have a merchant with alcohol! There are even bartenders that sell non-alcoholic drinks in LA.
Also, drinking ale is.. useless. The small drunk effect lasts for about 30 second, and you’re the only one to see it. There isn’t even an animation for drinking so people know you’re doing it. Here are some suggestions (some seen in other games).
- Make the character walk a bit dizzy when not in combat.
- Add drunken text when someone talks (switch letters, add caps to one word)
- Drinking one drink: Tipsy 3 minutes of slightly blurred screen (as it currently is in game)
- Drinking 5 drinks: Impaired 3 minutes of Blurred screen and white glow effect (Currently occurs in game in some parts) and 5 minutes of slightly blurred screen.
- Drinking 10 drinks: Drunk 1 minute Daze effect, 5 minutes of White Glow, 5 minutes of slightly blurred screen. Speech is heavily altered in this state.
- Drinking 12 drinks: Alcoholic Pass out for 2 minutes. Display the words Passed out in front of character name, allow people to “revive” the character by splashing water on them. This would be great especially when a guild drops a barrel of ale in town, you’d see a bunch of passed out characters, what a party!
So please, add more details for beer, especially with the Norns, this currently makes little story sense.
NO ALE, NO SALE!
You’re all pretty lucky, I never even knew there were other item possibilities until I looked at this thread, I thought we were all just getting a Coin and Karma… kitten I’m unlucky.
Hello, bumping this as I had the same idea yesterday, I think this would be a very nice feature, especially for achievements in the Slayer categories, where one would be killing one type of enemies, it would be nice to have a track bar for those achievements. I think if we get the ability to even track just one achievement at a time, it would be pretty useful.
In case devs are looking at this, I recorded a video of the issue, hopefully it can help. Sorry for the audio, didn’t realize it would record my currently playing songs..
Good idea, she just tried, and indeed, on her other characters, she can change classes. I don’t know why her main character is stuck like this.
Thanks, this will do for the achievement at least.
Hello,
I’m posting this on behalf of my girlfriend who’s playing right now. When she tries to play Snowball Mayhem, she is unable to change her profession. She is always stuck with Supporter. I have seen her talk to the Snowman and choose every other profession, yet the skills remain those of the supporter. Selecting professions with the bar on the right also causes the same issue. This issue has been occurring since the beginning of Wintersday, I thought it would go away after quitting the game and coming back, but no.
The issue is also only occurring on her account, because I played on mine today and didn’t have this issue (Although I did have the little bugs where you class changes as you start playing, but that can be fixed at least.)
Did this occur to anyone else ? Is there something we can do so she can play the other classes ? Please help, it’s hard for her to get Gift Stopper with a Supporter since making the enemies drop the gift isn’t enough for the achievement, and she would also like to at least try the other classes.
She’s an Asura Engineer, if that can help.
Thanks for your time.
It happened to me twice, and my gf got the same problem a few times. I think it might be lag on our end, but I can’t be sure.
I’ll try, I’m still in it as I write this, using my Arcing Arrow skill to cover big ground, and staggering blow to hit in a wide circle
I’ve been in the dungeon for a half hour, smashed everything, re-smashed, I’ve been up and down the whole area in a grid searching fashion, I can’t get the achievement, I’m going out of my mind.
Hello, sorry if this has been reported before, I searched and couldn’t find anything.
Today I ran CM in exp to help some guildies. We had a player join us who knew how the dungeon worked (I never did it in exp before). Everything went alright until we downed the second boss of the third path (I think, it’s the path where you stop the slave trade at the end). After the second boss, the player showed us that there is a shortcut we can take to get directly to the boss. The path goes over the mountains, and I could see that this was surely not intended. I went back to the dungeon and have taken screenshots to help resolve this.
Steps:
1. Enter CM, get to the garden, finish conversation to unlock door in front.
2. Go through door, on the other side, move to the mountain on the right, there are small rocks that you can jump on to get on it. (See screenshot 1 for map location, and 2 for rock display)
3. Move a bit left, then toward the wall. In the corner of the two rock walls, jump repeatedly while facing a bit right, this should allow the player to eventually jump up the rocks.
4. There are rocks without collisions, but as devs, I’m sure you’ll find the path with collision that leads to the last part, if more help is needed, contact me and I’ll gladly provide a video of the path.
Also, the boss is on the Dock. If all players jump below the dock, underwater, they can attack the boss while he can’t attack back, making the battle a joke.
I’m sorry if players are unhappy I’m reporting this, but I am part of the community and I believe the game should be played as it was intended, not going into dungeons and finding ways to skip parts, that’s not a good way to enjoy the game.

Yes, please, bumping this because I believe it is a great idea. I’m stockpiling alot of basic stones, which are not very useful once one gets to lvl 80 and has lvl 80 gear. Please consider this, 4 for 1 seems pretty balanced.
