I used both over the years and i find both do a great job. Im with Nvidia at the moment and was luckly enough to have a EVGA GTX 690. I’ve also got a few gaming buddy’s who have ATI and they still play the same games on max settings.
Only diff is they need 2 ATI graphic cards to keep up with my one Nvidia.
Its true that 2 ATI’s might be cheaper than 1 Nvidia but i’ve never liked Crossfire or SLI.
Play the game how YOU want to play it. Stuff what everyone else thinks. You payed for the game. Up to level 80 i also stayed in fire. Nearly everything died before i even had to think about changing. I sometimes swapped to water for heal but thats about it. Dungeons and pvp etc i have started changing but still not as much as some think you need to. Also no one has ever complained. Even if they had i would just carry on playing MY game the way I want to.

Swapping atunements in battle is the best way to go about it i know. Im lvl 78 and just use staff. Now i know people will say d/d is better etc etc but i really dont care.
I always start in fire. Thing is i very rarly need to change atunement as the mob is dead before i need to. I know things will get ahrder in dungoens and pvp but for simple solo leveling atunement dancing is no better for me than sticking to fire.
If i had to play d/d, atunement dance, dodge and move around 100% of the time then i would get very bored with Ele.
I payed for the game and i can choose how i play each class. Ele with staff is slower paced which suits my gaming style. If someone tells me im playing it wrong i just ignore them.
All im saying is, Dont tell others how to play there class. If it does seem wrong to you it doesn’t matter as they prob just having as much fun playing it there way.
I’d say no. I have 8gb of ram and play games from GW2 to Crysis 2. Mix in a few racing games like F1 2012 and NFS Most wanted and i’ve never gone over 40% mem useage.
People might say 16gb is what you should get. Thats just overkill. No game out there (that i know about) use’s that kind of memory.
Save ya money bud.
You got some great pc’s to choose from buddy. Hope ya fine one thats suits ya.
Only thing i dont understand is why people are recommending Amd over Intel. I’d get a cheap Intel i5 2500k. Thats the lowest i’d go and it would give anything AMD has to offer a good trashing.
Of course he having trouble with his Geforce card. He has a 450. This is more of a media card than a gamin one.
Try upgrade ya cpu and gpu. Unfortunately you’ll have to stay with AMD as your motherboard wont take a Intel chip. Then you really need a better GPU. I’d go with a 560 if ya tight for cash. The 660ti should throw this game around no problem.
Like others have said. The CPU is ok. Not great but should do the the job. The GPU on the other hand is no good for gaming really. Be great for movie’s etc. I’d get a 5 or 6 series gpu. A 560 or 660 would be a great buy. There medium spec gpu’s which will be ok for GW2. Just dont expect them to play games like Crysis 2 with playable fps. Unless everything is on low.
