Happened to me also, spend hours doing the event to the finale, got disconnected and unable to login. Heard a friend of mine on skype finishing it and getting all the loot.
Made me pretty sad, all the hours spend in the event chain and nothing to show for it because the login servers were messy at the end.
Great event though!
