not cleanse i want to see resistance. cleanse is cool for one second and then oh wait never mind the mob just put it back on you and your cleanse is on CD. this is the first game ive played where there is ZERO resistances to such things as bleed, poison, burn, etc. and the mobs have usually free immunity to such things. i cant tell you how many times i would remove a poison dot that would last for a min just to have them put it right back with what is their basic attack (be it melee or ranged). also i dont want to get started on the condition damage mobs can put out but ours is crap.

so yes i know about cleanse but that is not resistance, which is what i want to see in the game… one of the many other things.

I feel straight resistance to certain conditions is a bit lazy. Players should have to learn to manage removal/reversal/transfer of conditions rather than just be able to ignore them completely. It makes a lot of those skills that you may seen and thought to yourself “converts conditions into boons? who the heck would want that?” a bit more useful.

I can’t speak for other players, but I change my utility and traits on the fly depending on what encounter is coming up in dungeons. I consider myself an above average player so I can only assume the really serious PvEers do the same.

If you expect to be able to pick one trait and utility skill setup and have it be optimal for every single encounter then I think you will be disappointed. Some encounters have a ton of conditions, that’s when you swap around to focus on condition removal. You may even need to change weapon sets. Personally I carry one of every weapon my class can use so I am prepared at all times.

And don’t forget some combos can be used to cleanse conditions when you don’t have any skills available that do it directly (combo field + finisher, if you aren’t familiar with combos, I suggest reading the wiki).

how is resistance lazy? and i should have noted i dont mean full on immunity, i mean dealing a percentage to you such as you block 35% of poison damage dealt to you. and as for combos yes i know of them but still means very little since mobs can deal these things with BASIC attacks.

if setting me on fire was a special move they had, dodgeable or not, then yea that would be fine. but fighting 2+ mobs and all can poison, bleed, burn, chill, etc with a basic and you can cleanse once every 10 secs-ish than thats a bit much (ie risen and destroyers).

so having a resistance, be it full or partial, is not lazy and for usual MMO rules you can only have one on your gear be it youre going healer/tank.

the game is ok to me. i got my first class to 80 about a week and half ago. there are still a ton of things that turn me off and/or annoy me to no end (CAN I PLEASE GET SOMETHING TO RESIST THINGS LIKE POISON AND BLEED!!) and hope they get addressed at some point. fun level goes up and down depending on what im doing in the game.

Have you checked your Profession’s forums to see how to spec for DoTs/bleeds? There are generally traits or abilities that will give you a cleanse.

so im in the throne room and do the attack but after kellach and his minions are dead the story does not continue. the npcs in the room just stand around in attack form but nothing is alive and no mobs have fallen through the ground or such. ive reset this 3 times and it wont progress, did the recent patch screw up story missions?

i would buy this if where for 2000 gems. this was one of things that put me off from buying the game originally. in other games that i play that have this feature you just pay in game currency to change your look, an example would be the secret world for there weapons.

if they cant do that then i say keep the trans cores but make any skin items bought from the gem store to be free perma. its kinda odd that this wasnt the normal thing already.

anyone having crash issues?
