Can't Delete a Character

Nocturnia.4896

Hello, I submitted a report about how a character of mine won’t be deleted. The toon is called “Anur Whisp” and was supposed to be a placeholder name for a future Revenant so I didn’t do much of anything on it. After the first beta weekend (The test Revenant only one prior to Shiro Release) I deleted it and remade a revenant to hold the name for me but after the beta toon was wiped post beta I re-did my name holder and didn’t think much of it.
A while later I decided I wanted to change the name and so went to delete “Anur Whisp” again only to find that it won’t go away. At this point I re-checked the character and typed the name in again to delete it but again nothing happened so I reported it.
However it’s been a month and I still can’t delete “Anur Whisp”, I don’t mean to sound impatient or anything and it’s not major pressing issue to me however it does worry me a little.

P.S. My brother had told me to submit a bug report, and thinking back that might be why it’s been so long without response which would be a “My bad” XD

"Fear Not This Night" foreshadowing?

I’m pretty sure we all know the “Fear Not This Night” Song by now; but I’ll include the lyrics in the spoiler for reference, yet could this be more than a mere credits song?
Could “Fear Not This Night” hint towards the struggle of the Sylvari in HoT?

Fear not this night
You will not go astray
Though shadows fall
Still the stars find their way

Awaken from a quiet sleep
Hear the whispering of the wind
Awaken as the silence grows
In a solitude of the night

Darkness spreads through all the land
And your weary eyes open silently
Sunsets have forsaken all
The most far off horizons

Nightmares come when shadows grow
Eyes close and heartbeats slow
Fear not this night
You will not go astray

Though shadows fall
Still the stars find their way

And you can always be strong
Lift your voice with the first light of dawn
Dawn’s just a heartbeat away
Hope’s just a sunrise away

Distant sounds of melodies
Calling through the night to your heart
Auroras, mists, and echoes dance
In the solitude of our life

Pleadings heard in arias
Gently grieving in captive misery
Darkness sings a forlorn song
Yet our hope can still rise up

Nightmares come when shadows roam
Lift your voice, lift your hope
Fear not this night
You will not go astray

Though shadows fall
Still the stars find their way
And though the night sky’s filled with blackness
Fear not, rise up, call out and take my hand

Fear not this night
You will not go astray
Though shadows fall
(Still the stars find their way)

Fear not this night
You will not go astray
Though shadows fall
(Still the stars find their way)

And you can always be strong
Lift your voice with the first light of dawn
Dawn’s just a heartbeat away
Hope’s just a sunrise away

Here’s a few similarities and parallels I noticed.

- Fear not this night, You will not go astray. Though shadows fall, Still the stars find their way
So far, Mordy likes the darkness. His champion was named Shadow of the Dragon rather than a more physical name like “Claw of …” or “Shatterer” and said champion summoned shadow tendrils and Smothering Darknesses. Also, in the Verdant Brink map the Mordrem came out in force at night. These lines seem to suggest that despite the threats of darkness; or the night, the sylvari in question (PC?) will not go astray as in they will keep their mind.

- Awaken from a quiet sleep, Hear the whispering of the wind. Awaken as the silence grows. In a solitude of the night.
This might reference to the Sylvari PC’s awakening. especially if you choose the White Stag story arc as the PC says “I hear my name in the wind” or something like that during the character creation cinematic. The second half could reference to the Pale Tree’s current silence after she was attacked, ignoring when she gave those vision seeds.

-The next couple stanzas seem to reference the obvious spreading of Mordy’s influence and to continue to hold on to Hope, which the Pale Tree constantly tells you in the Zhaitan story.

- Distant sounds of melodies, Calling through the night to your heart . . . Darkness sings a forlorn song, Yet our hope can still rise up
These two stanzas seem to connect to the subtle mind influences Mordy does along with the pleading for help the Pale Reavers did while they were held captive in the Beta story.

The rest seems to pretty much repeat what was mentioned above. So ignoring my long post of theory and speculation I have to ask; what do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Are there any lines or events that you think are connected? I can’t wait to hear your opinions!

Charr Submarine? Speculation and Opinion

While map clearing the Black Citadel another time I looked up and was suddenly struck with a random thought, “The Core looks like a half finished Submarine.”

Now, I’ll probably sound like a raving conspiracy theorist but I want to know other’s opinions about this.
*The Krait have a Prophesy about the world flooding, could this reference Bubble’s Cataclysm?
*The Charr are known to build Submarines
*Ascalon is in a depressed bowl like area with mountains all around, seems perfect for flooding to me.
*There are massive propellers sticking out of the sphere, if they were just steam exhaust ports wouldn’t they be more inside the structure?

And finally, the picture that sparked off my crazy theory.

Lore and GW1 references always put a big goofy grin on my face.
Animations are amazing as stated above.
I love the style of play, the shadowstepping axe and the AoE of Mace/Axe and Mallyx’s teleporting skill 8 are fun.

My brother and I did a side by side comparison between my D/W necro and his Rev in the LS. His rev held its own, took down a good portion of foes and fit in well. Just needs faster damage output since even though my dagger did the same numbers it was hitting faster than his mace. shrug

Are there any physically unique characters?

The more GW1 references the better imo.
Add my vote for Shiro!

The legends hardly speak.

I too was hoping that the legends would be more chatty. Like replace the race-specific dialogue upon getting a boon.
Example: Upon getting swiftness instead of “I can outrun a centaur” Mallyx says “Flee mortals!” or Jalis says “To Battle!” or Ventari says “As the leaf blows”

I think that’d be a good medium between more dialogue than usual while still having legend conversation.

Walking through the New LA and hunting for the Karka Hatchlings I came across a dead sylvari half-buried in sand with a Lionguard nearby speculating murder.
This reminded me of Destroyed LA, in which two patrolling Lion Guard came across a sylvari and one of them (an asura) accused him of being a looter and even conned him into “confessing” to being a looter only to be held back from attacking by her partner.

Do any of you think there’s a connection? Some in-game anti-sylvari movements brought about by Scarlet’s actions?

I liked how you questioned whether we’d NEED to build up a camp to survive the night. What if Anet developed a de-buff or something that the longer you went away from a camp the more incoming damage you take. That’d be annoying yet awesome imo.
