the only other thing that you might want to look into is your ram configuration. it looks to be misconfigured or possibly underpowered. maybe your mobo throttles the hardware when not under load. im not sure. are these the ram that your ordered?

Also, the 460 is firmly placed in another comp within the family now. Too much hassle and too much explaining why i would need to replace my 400£ card for a test ^^

I haven’t seen any other software being installed with my new card, only 3d vision that came with the new driver. Nothing called Precision.

I changed reflections to none, It was a small boost but it still drops when panning the camera around with mouse, and it didn’t before. I will try the Vsync in the control panel now! In game was no difference.

So just over and hour ago, I replaced my old Geforce GTX 460 with a brand new Geforce GTX 680 – I have tried other games as Skyrim, Borderlands 2, BF3 and league of legends.
All of these perform like fluid clockwork, but for some reason, GW 2 does not.

I have never ever had problems with FPS and never dipped below 40 in Lions Arch and such on my old GFX, but today with the new card I cant even turn the camera around anywhere, even on the lowest settings i dip down to 1 fps, 1 FPS ON A GTX 680!

Really? Really??
Fix or a response please!

I came on here to post something similar.
Recently, well an hour ago, i replaced my old Geforce GTX 460 with a brand new Geforce GTX 680! This beast of a grafics card runs everything smoothly, except Guild wars 2.

For some reason, I have no bloody idea why, it has lower fps than my old one. We are not talking by a small margin either, its drops are insane. I am getting like 20 fps in places i ran smoothly on 50 earlier.

I have constant fluidity in Skyrim, Borderlands 2 and BF3 and my max fps count in League of Legends is 500 fps, that also breaks the games moment.

What is the deal with this?
I spent ********* 400 pounds+ on a new gfx to lower my fps?
Response and fix asap!

So from day one i have played my elementalist, and…I love it!
I had no idea until I came to this forum that it was so hated among its players and I have a hard time seeing why. Have i been playing with bad people that i dont see what other classes can do compared to me? Are people here worse than me? pff no I suck at video games.

I am playing a staff fire / arcana / lighting spec ele and i LOVE it, and I am not at all seeing the problem people are having. Are we squishy? yes, yes we are. I build a **** glass cannon, I know i am squishy, that is why I learned how to dodge, position myself before i cast meteor storm and actually rely on my team mates.

But down to the question! Can we get some reasons and some love for our class on this forum? come on people!
