The answer is no, also to answer on your questions:
1. Yes, the only issue i ever had was party group portraits flickering, that is already fixed.
2. No, unless your graphics card were much older model such as 5000 or 6000 series.
If you plan to play other graphically intensive games that is your choice to make if its worth it or not.
Completely normal, both of my cards hit 70
Might want to clean install drivers with DDU, then download the latest ones. Latest nvidia drivers offer SLI improvements for gw2.
nothing rly wrong with fx6100 in this game, works flawlessly.
Temps seem totally fine, u can go easily 60+ celsius on both cpu and gpu, no harm will be done.
Nope, but they are useless if ur computer is good enough, they are quite useful on much older rigs.
Idd this is a wrong forum to talk about such a problem, but u can try out http://www.f-secure.com/en/web/labs_global/removal-tools/-/carousel/view/142
Follow the instructions and burn the iso file on ur cd or usb bootable device, then run it.
Newer gpu drivers in some cases causes ur gpu to produce more heat, u could try to downgrade ur gpu drivers to see if its actually a overheat issue or a driver issue.
A lot of ppl have performance problems, all i can say for now.
thats mainly cause of larger population on ur server, which is causing delay
Click on ur Windows icon (bottom left corner) → click run → type Dxdiag → check ur processor model, so we can see what kind of cpu it is, mostly intel cpus can handle 80+ temps easily, but keeping it under 75 would be advised.
U could try the good old driver sweeper method, u can search it on google. If that wont work (assuming this happens in other games as well) ur card might be bricked.
Have u been overclocking ur cpu by any chance lately?
and the rest of ur system specs? will help when u give out more information.
u can try underclocking ur gpus core and/or memory by 5mhz, that worked for a friend of mine, u wont see any negative change on ur fps.
Psu is overkill, get a 450-500 watts quality psu, unless ur going SLI sometimes.

Is the game working well? Higher temperatures means ur cpu coolers fan will also be much louder in order to keep it cool enough.
Well that is weird, ive got 7870 as well but im getting mostly 60fps outside cities but my fps goes under 40fps in bigger cities.
My razer blackwidow keyboard does the same but very rarely, tho i still havent found a solution for it.
This may sound silly but could u check ur bios settings and check if ur primary graphic card option is set to pci-express. Also try switching to high performance from power option in control panel
Could u provide more info like checking ur processor and graphics cards temperatures with this program http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
It sounds like somethings overheating if theres no error given during shutdown.
Have u made a complete driver uninstallation before u switched ur gpu? Uninstalling ati drivers, driver sweeper on safe mode for leftovers and finally registry files with ccleaner for example, then installing the newest drivers.
No i havent quit, infact my rig runs the game very smoothly with nearly maxed out settings (except the best textures unchecked), fps between 45-60 most of the time.
Mines running great between 45-60fps, tho WvWvW is my weakest link since im getting about 25fps there
everything maxed, except the most intensive textures down there.
Mine is around 58-60 celsius while playing and im using automatic fan speed, since the fans of this card are extremely quiet below 60% fan speed
