You might miss the start. But i’m pretty sure the event will play out more than once.
I remember thinking the very same thing for the first WoW Christmas event. But after staying up for hours sitting in front of a Christmas tree being told by ‘Dwarf Santa’ that its “First come first serve”, I then found out it wasn’t first come first serve and everyone could get a present. It was also a daily, you could get more than one. Don’t stress. Remember Anet also made GW1, they have experience. They are not ignorant enough to screw their player base like that.AQ, the precusor events to each expansion and the opening of each expansion for that game disagree with you.
Anet themselves have said this is a one time only event in out of the game quotes.. so it’s not likely to repeat.
That being said, missing these events has never been game breaking or resulted in missed gear or achieves (outside of the rare AQ mounts). It’s just an experience. That’s it.
Sorry I should of made my self more clear.
I’m mainly referring to possible items, achievements, and titles. I am sure people will not get ripped off in that way. Yes they may miss a dialogue filled play or something of that nature in town. But that will for sure be all over youtube and other media websites.
AQ was a one time mistake. And the precursors to WoW expacs usually last weeks not 1 day for possibly an hour or less. So that really doesn’t relate to the nature of this problem.

Here’s an idea. Since you know the clocktower puzzle requires 0 group strategy and alot of concentration. Ignore your chat bar? Switch tabs to combat and go about your merry way instead of making pointless threads.

god, this is hard.
Whatever were they thinking? I’m sure there are people who enjoy these sort of things, but I think a vast majority of us went in there expecting that this was content meant for all of us to enjoy.
Are we having fun? If you call gritting your teeth and shouting obscenities fun… I’ll let you be the judge of that.
Can’t please everyone. But actual gamer’s will most likely love this. It’s just like a mario level. Who didn’t love mario? People who didn’t like video games, that’s who. >:O
Do you guys even test your own game? Did any of you at arenanet find this puzzle fun?
Do you preview your own thread replies?
Finally beat it! Was worried about it being too hard, but after about 3 hours I finally made it. Then beat it twice more in under 15mins, once you’ve mastered it, it gets easy, muscle memory I guess!
I did ENJOY most of it. Got frustrated a few times but after beating it… felt like a million bucks, worth every attempt!!!
Things are a lot more rewarding when it’s fun and hard isn’t it?
Game makers needs to stop spoon feeding on their piles of cash and make a game for gamer’s. Anet seems to be doing just that.
I love the jump puzzle. It’s fun and like many platforming puzzle games outside of MMO’s, it’s challenging.
Also to OP and numerous others, it’s not something you have to do. All you get are boots that are easily upgraded and some candy bags + an achievement. All of which aren’t necessary for endgame progression.
I however agree that it should be instanced or have it where it turns everyone into something that isn’t huge like a Charr or a Norn.
Here’s hoping Anet doesn’t nerf something that is fun and challenging due to so many people who just can’t do something they don’t have to do to begin with.
I’d like to know what developers are running right now as well.
It seems almost everyone I know who plays this, has horrible FPS.
I my self have a high end system, and still get horrid FPS in towns and in WvW to the point where it’s not playable, competitively.
So yeah, WTB developer rig specs please.
I at one point saw this website that you could gain points on to play games like TF2, WoW etc. And you could use those points to buy game related products.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a reputable site that does this that works with GW2?
