Feirlista, I stated that I am on my husbands account posting. I can’t log into MY account because I no longer have the serial number to it since it was years ago and it probably got deleted. If bank records allow me to pull up history from over 2-3 years ago, that would be cool, but having the same card number and knowing all the information from the purchase should suffice.
I am aware that they are having a lot of tickets coming in. Very unfortunate really. The urge I had to play the game again is slowly dying off right now, but I would still like to be able to regain something I paid for to be able to jump back into it. I wish there was another way to get things done though.
Hi! I am posting on my husbands account because I am unable to do anything through ArenaNet without my serial number. My account is not banned or hacked (at least I hope so). I haven’t played in years due to pre ordering GW2 when I was about 7 months pregnant and other life events that have caused me not to be able to sit down and enjoy MMO gaming.
My email and card information that I purchased the game with are pretty much the same except the address has changed due to moving and the card has been updated. I am mostly wondering why I have to have my serial number to be able to even sign into forums or change my password. I thought that the code was mostly for registering new accounts and left it at that because in the q/a, it doesn’t mention needing it to reset a password. Since I apparently do need that code, will there be any issues trying to recover it if I know all the original information to my account? Or is support very reluctant to give it out?
I just want to get back to playing again. I got a bit scared when I saw a lot of people complaining about the response times taking weeks and what not. Hopefully that doesn’t occur, but I can’t submit a 3 day old ticket on forums since I can’t access my account at all.
