This will be the one thread the devs actually read on the necro forum, and they’ll use it to justify nerfing the kitten out of it before HoT goes live.
What about the ability to wear your flesh golem as a suit?
I hear they’re changing it so necromancer specialisation is Moa. Where we morph into a Moa, gaining moa skills and reducing defense to 0. The Mesmer skill Polymorph Moa will be changed to “Polymorph Necromancer” where the target is changed into a necromancer, gaining necromancer abilities and stats thus rendering them ineffective in combat.
Don’t count on getting good changes. If necro comes near meta, people will cry in profession forums of classes anet care about and we’ll be nerfed to oblivion, just like every other time we’ve ever been buffed.
While I still think this is all one big collective waste of effort because the devs don’t give a kitten about this class, I’ll offer one small suggestion that would somewhat unkitten what is happening to us now.
When in death shroud, give us pulsing stability, applying 1 stack of stability every 5-10 seconds per enemy within 1200 radius. This would enable necro to participate in group fights without just being bounced around them map until we die.
It’s cute that people are trying to get necros on par with other classes, but if you think this thread will change anything, you’re mad. Over the last 3 years, necro has been competitive for about a month when dhuumfire arrived, then was subsequently nerfed to oblivion. No mobility, no access to boons, no survivability in group situations and most importantly no attrition, which is apparently what the class is based on.
Devs have shown again and again that they have no interest in balancing necro. I’d love it if something was done, but let’s be real, necro is anets red headed stepchild. The only time we get buffed is when they feel like tormenting us with false hope before nerfing us back to oblivion.
