Thanks for the help guys! But sending the local.dat and cleaning out the fan didn’t work. He did, however, somehow put two big fans under his laptop and it apparently works now. Yay.

On the character creation screen, my friend’s computer completely shuts down. Thing is, he has the same exact laptop as me and although my computer is a bit laggy, it runs GW2 just fine on lower settings.

So it doesn’t look like it has anything to do with the type of computer he has.

I have a feeling something that would help would be if he could lower the graphic settings, but how would he do this without having access to the game in the first place?

Also, apparently when he played the game when they had the free trial time, he could play it perfectly fine and with a higher FPS than me.

Any help appreciated!

Kinda sad how the only way FC can take on two of us is by gathering everyone on the map together. The more people you bring the more flattered I feel. ~

Yeah, cause I’m so sure our server needs 50+ to kill you and any less, say 40+ only… well you won’t be able to kill them but you could totally kitten them around the map for 2 hours without dying and effectively solo the whole server right? 20+ you can definitely solo though, let us of FC bow down and worship your GW2 skills.

That’s odd.. just earlier ET continuously wiped you guys even when you had over twice our size. Oh well, people shall forever squabble!

KWBH definitely had some fun last night. I was recommended to post the few screenies I got from when we were taking one of the towers. I wasn’t able to capture the full glory of this duel between us and FC, but it’s good enough!

It was loads of fun.

Indeed the fights are now really awesome! And now everyone is taking turns getting ahead in points, rather than struggling to beat FC in score.

ET still seems to be taking the middle of the day and afternoon more often though (PST).

The other servers are doing great though. I still haven’t seen any big accomplishments from GoM yet, but I’m not on all the time so of course I’ve probably missed a lot of great things they’ve done.

I wonder how WvW will progress over time~ Oh, and I have to brag a bit. But hey, it’s for the sake of science!
